Doctor Jocelyn Watts and Professor Martin Holloway are excavating underwater using a pair of submersibles. They uncover a large obelisk covered in alien text. Upon returning to their parent vessel on the surface, they study scans of the obelisk and discover a set of stellar coordinates among the text covering it. They take this information to a large Weyland Industries space station in Earth orbit, where they meet with Peter Weyland. Weyland agrees to fund a scientific expedition to follow the star map, on one condition - while Watts and Holloway will get the scientific credit for any discoveries they make, any alien technology they find will go straight to Weyland Industries. Having been turned down by every other backer, Watts and Holloway agree. Weyland's director of operations, Lydia Vickers, and a highly advanced prototype android named David, also accompany the trip.

The team travels to the system indicated by the obelisk aboard the Magellan, commanded by Captain Janek. Janek, along with most of his crew, are skeptical and anxious about the mission, but have agreed to take part on the promise of triple pay. The Magellan reaches its destination, Zeta II Reticuli, and soon finds evidence of potentially non-natural structures on a moon designated LV-426. The team discovers several pyramids on the surface, including a large complex inside a series of regular craters linked by deep trenches, suggesting artificial construction. Janek sets down, and the science team moves out in vehicles to investigate further. They enter the largest, central pyramid and begin mapping the structure with remote drones. When they are startled by a holographic recording, two of the team, Fifield and Millburn, elect to return to the ship. The rest of the team discovers Terraforming equipment at the center of the pyramid, as well as a pile of ancient, eviscerated Engineer corpses.

A satellite the Magellan left in orbit detects a large storm front moving with the moon's sunset, and Janek orders everyone back to the ship. They barely make it; Watts is almost blown away by the savage winds but David rescues her. Once on board, they realize that both Fifield and Millburn are missing. They contact the men by radio, and find they have become lost in the pyramid. They have plenty of supplies, and Janek tells them to hold out until they can return after the storm has passed in the morning. The team on the Magellan celebrate their discovery. Afterwards, Watts and Holloway autopsy an Engineer's decaying head that they recovered from the pyramid.

That night, Millburn is attacked by a centipede-like creature and killed, whilst Fifield is subdued by a swarm of the scarab-like insects. The following morning, Vickers awakens a team of mercenaries secretly stowed away aboard the Magellan and places them in charge of the expedition. The team returns to the pyramid to try and locate the missing men and continue their exploration. Under Vickers' orders, several of the scientists begin disassembling the Terraforming equipment so it can be returned to Earth for study. Watts and Holloway discover more dead Engineers, each with their chest burst outwards, but Holloway falls down a shaft and gets separated from the rest of the team.

Janek discovers Millburn's corpse and orders his crew back to the ship, although Vickers' mercenaries and several scientists remain to deconstruct the Terraforming machine. Watts and David also stay behind to find Holloway. They eventually find him wandering aimlessly with no real memory of what happened to him; they take him back to the ship. Once there, Watts and Holloway engage in sexual intercourse, but a creature suddenly bursts from Holloway's chest, killing him. The white, boneless alien creature quickly escapes into the Magellan's ventilation system. The crew begins searching the ship, while Watts returns to the pyramid, following the location data recorded by Holloway's spacesuit, hoping to find out what happened to him. She finds that he was attacked by an octopoid creature that latched onto his face. As she moves on, she encounters David aboard a large Engineer spacecraft hidden underground. David reveals that the ship was headed to Earth with plans to wipe out humanity using genetically-modified, weaponized versions of the creature that attacked Holloway. However, the creatures got loose and wiped out the crew before they could carry out their mission. In a large chamber filled with leathery Ovomorphs, David attacks Watts and allows one of the weaponized creatures - a Facehugger - to subdue her.

When she regains consciousness, Watts just barely makes it back to the Magellan and climbs into a Med Pod. The Chestburster within her bursts from her chest in the middle of surgery to remove it, and Watts dies. However, the Med Pod's systems manage to save her life and repair the damage. When she wakes, she sees the now fully grown kiande amedha attack and kill one of the crewmembers as he enters the room, but she manages to shoot the creature before it can turn on her.

Watts discovers that several of the crew have been gruesomely killed by the creature that came from Holloway in her absence, which is now fully grown and hiding on the lower decks. She informs the survivors of the Engineer ship and its mission to wipe out humanity, a mission that David is now attempting to resume. With no alternative, the survivors elect to try and stop him while Janek stays behind to try and fix the Magellan, which David has sabotaged. Aboard the Engineer vessel, the remaining crew and mercenaries confront David as he revives a final Engineer from hypersleep. The Engineer decapitates David and slaughters most of the team, but Watts survives while Vickers escapes with the leader of the mercenaries, Shepherd; Vickers and Shepherd encounter the now mutated Fifield as they flee through the pyramid and are killed.

Watts returns to the Magellan and kills the creature that emerged from Holloway just as it prepares to attack Janek. They see the Engineer ship leave and set off in pursuit, but are unable to catch up with the much faster Engineer vessel. However, when the Engineer pilot is killed by a Chestburster that erupts from his chest, his ship falters, allowing Janek to crash the Magellan into it, destroying the Magellan, killing Janek and fatally crippling the Engineer vessel. Watts jettisons from the Magellan's wreckage in an escape pod. Back on the surface, she is attacked by the huge Ultramorph that emerged from the Pilot, but she eventually kills it with a circular saw.

In the aftermath, Watts is contacted by David, who tells her that it is likely the Engineers will come to investigate. As she considers this, the pyramids on the moon transmit a distress signal into space. Note: This follows an alternate timeline diverging from the events of Prometheus. Alien: Engineers

During a routine survey mission to Saturn, the crew of the United Nations Interplanetary Corps (UNIC) vessel Hornblower discover an anomaly in orbit around the planet's moon Iapetus. Determining the vast, egg-shaped object to be a spacecraft of non-Earth origin and learning that a Chinese/Asian Nations Cooperative (CANC) ship is also closing in on the potentially valuable find, Captain Corgan quickly organizes a boarding party to investigate. Among those who accompany him aboard are his science officer Ashley Norton and the Hornblower's arrogant exobiologist Eli Reynolds. On board the deserted alien vessel they find evidence of an advanced, sentient race that they christen Giffs, learning that they were apparently slaughtered by kiande amedha. Searching further, several members of the Hornblower crew discover a number of Ovomorphs deposited in a maintenance passage on the ship; upon disturbing them, Cruz, Beresford and Collindale are attacked and subdued by the facehuggers that emerge.

The three stricken men are taken back to the Hornblower and quarantined, while Corgan orders the Ovomorphs destroyed with flamethrowers, much to Reynold's fury. Several hours later, Cruz is killed when a Chestburster rips from his body. Suffering a mental breakdown at the sight, Beresford attempts impromptu surgery to remove the parasite from his own body, cutting himself open and pulling the creature free before succumbing to his wounds. The final infected man, Collindale, concludes that his crewmates are more interested in recovering the creature within him than his own survival, and so kidnaps the Hornblower's nurse Julie, steals a shuttle and escapes to the Giff ship. There he asks her to remove the Chestburster, but it bursts from his body before the surgery can be completed, killing him before the infant Xenomorph mauls Julie to death.

On the Hornblower, the crew begin hunting the now-fully grown Xenomorphs loose on their ship, but succeed only in losing several of their own number. The survivors hole up on the vessel's bridge, where they discover the ship's scanners have been sabotaged, leaving them unable to track the incoming CANC ship. The culprit is Reynolds, who is secretly working with the CANC to help them secure the mysterious alien vessel. Several crew are sent to fix the scanners, but they are killed by Xenomorphs that Reynolds lures to their location with a pheromone extracted from the deceased Facehuggers. Reynolds himself flees the Hornblower for the Giff vessel, where he discovers the lone Xenomorph born from Collindale has now become a Queen and laid hundreds of new Ovomorphs. Becoming increasingly deluded, Reynolds hatches a plan to take the ship for himself and use the creatures to wipe out anyone who tries to stop him.

Meanwhile, the CANC cruiser Glorious Sun arrives at Iapetus. Its troopers immediately board the Hornblower and find only Corgan, Ashley and chief of security Nate still alive, along with one the Xenomorphs. When the creature begins attacking the CANC soldiers, their commander Kyu Kim has the ship evacuated before pushing it into Saturn's atmosphere, destroying it along with the Xenomorph on board. Kim then orders the captured Hornblower crewmembers to lead an expedition to the Giff ship. Once on board, Corgan manages to trick Kim and most of his men into entering the Queen's Egg chamber, where they are promptly overcome by Facehuggers. In the confusion, the Hornblower survivors escape from their remaining guards and flee to a hangar bay on the ship. There they commandeer a Giff shuttle, although Nate is killed holding off CANC reinforcements so Corgan and Ashley can escape.

Unable to control the alien shuttle, its autopilot takes Corgan and Ashley to a hidden Giff base beneath the surface of Iapetus. There they encounter a living Giff, who calls himself Larry. He explains that he has been in suspended animation for over 1,000 years, ever since his ship was overrun by Xenomorphs planted on board by a third race of aliens with whom the Giff were in conflict. Agreeing that the Xenomorphs now pose a threat to all of mankind, Corgan, Ashley and Larry return to the Giff vessel in orbit with a plan to destroy it. They arrive shortly before Reynolds deciphers the vessel's propulsion technology and sets it on a course for Earth. Seeking to wrest control of the ship from the rogue scientist, Corgan and Ashley head for the engine room while Larry goes to the bridge. As they depart Saturn's orbit, they see the Glorious Sun explode, destroyed either accidentally or deliberately as the crew attempted to combat the Xenomorphs that were loose on board.

With the Giff vessel rapidly approaching Earth, Corgan and Ashley manage to turn control of the ship over to Larry, while Reynolds is killed by Xenomorphs when the pheromones he had been using to distract them cease to be effective. A UNIC cruiser patrolling Earth space fires upon the unidentified vessel, causing a massive hull breach that sucks a suited Corgan and Ashley into space. As they float adrift, Larry contacts them one final time to inform them that he intends to fly the ship into the sun to prevent its technology — or the Xenomorphs — from falling into human hands. They solemnly watch him go, before they are rescued by a UNIC ship. Though this takes place in the 21st century, it references Weyland-Yutani which will not exist until 2099. Alien: Steel Egg

A cooperation between Weyland Industries and the scientists Dr. Elizabeth Shaw and Dr. Charlie Holloway led to a breakthrough when multiple archeological digs yielded the location of a single distant star system. The identical image has been discovered in different parts of the world, developed by cultures that have never interacted with one another over centuries.

Their latest discovery was a cave painting of a figure pointing the same sequence of dots. Shaw was convinced it's an invitation by an ‘Engineer’ race for mankind to travel to the stars to find them. Sir Peter Weyland is contacted by Dr. Elizabeth Shaw about her finding in Scotland. Elizabeth Shaw, the USCSS Prometheus' lone human survivor, boards one of the Engineers' Juggernauts and departs a href="locale-other.html#LV223">LV-223. She rewires David8, and the two of them head off for a planet that they believe is the Engineers' homeworld. Shaw leaves a warning for other ships telling them not to approach the planet. Shaw falls into hypersleep. When they arrive, David8 pledges to wake her up. The Engineers, their society, and their habits fascinate David8, so he spends his time alone learning about them.

The Juggernaut arrives at an Engineers world that has yet to be explored some time later. David8 moors the ship to a big docking vessel that floats above the settlement's centre. "Look on my works, ye powerful, and despair..." he says as he opens a big aerture in the Juggernaut's base, staring down on the city. Then, behind him, hundreds of Steatite Ampules begin to mobilise. After 15 years and an estimated 10 billion credits, the colony on Mira Ceti 4 is home to 532 employees and recruits, including the mystic sect Estoric Brotherhood of Tulitu.

A foreman assigns the Estorics to a 90-day quarry dtail. Their leader, High Father Lumley, meets with the chief, caining the quarry detail is menial labor and that Omn-Tech is deliberately demeaning him and his followers. The chief tells him they are all bound by contract to do as they are told by the company.

23 days into the quarry detail, the Estorics uncover an object buried beneath the sands: a fossilized Queen and a well preserved Hive. Lumley and his brotherhood believe this to be a lost city of R'lek, the crypt of Tulitu. This was the resurrection they had traversed the gulfs of space to witness. Lumley performed a sermon within the Hive that ended with each member sacrificing himself to a Facehugger while chanting "Tu-LI-TU!"

10 days later, the Estorics returned to the colony with Kiande Amedha Ovomorphs hidden in their cargo. The Estorics strategically placed the Ovomorphs in and around the outpost during the night before succumbing to the Chestbursters within each of them.

Several attempts are attempted to disrupt Weyland-Yutani's colonization mission in the guise of the USCSS Covenant. Sergeant Daniel Lopé, the company's security chief, is kidnapped, but Jenny Yutani, the CEO's daughter, manages to thwart her own kidnapping attempt. On the Covenant, Daniels averts a bombing disaster. Hideo Yutani is able to link the sabotage to a group known as the Earthsavers, a fanatical organisation persuaded that their leader, Duncan Fields' nightmares are foreshadowing Earth's destruction by alien monsters.

Lopé and Sarah Rosenthal are successful in routing the group and capturing Fields. The Covenant's final effort to destroy it by ramming it with a cargo shuttle is foiled when pilot Tennessee reprograms Lander 2 to intercept it, destroying both vessels. Alien Covenant - Origins

After 4.5 years, an Omni Tech cruiser arrives at Mira Ceti 4. They find 104 dead and 428 missing. According to the colony manifest, all 52 Estorics members were amongst the known dead. The cause is unknown.

Omni-Tech unofficially supported the theory that the colony succumbed to a a mass hysteria resulting in suicide, rioting, murder, and panicked exodus into the surrounding wilderness. Omni-Tech has stated that it will not allow the tragedy to disuade their attempts at making Mira Ceti 4 a viable habitat for human kind. Alien: Elder Gods

Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world -- whose sole inhabitant is the synthetic David8, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. On Europa, Jupiter's largest moon, something has gone wrong with the orbital science station Heaven/Hell (which has been rusting away for decades) and its aging space elevator, and the crew has gone missing. Another team of scientists, along with their soldier chaperone, visit the station in the hopes they can find the missing crew and repair the issues with the station.

They discover a kiande amedha has taken up residency (the first signs of life in 50 years), brought to the station by a freighter. The kiande amedha attacks the new team and a quest to survive ensues.

The science sacrifices themselves to kill a kiande amedha using a submersible and an undersea thermal vent. Notes discovered say large recently discovered lifeforms near thermal vents on Europa are unprecedented in the previous 50 years. Life orginally found on Europa in 2017 based on Weyland Corporate Timeline so this has to be at least 50 years later. Weyland-Yutani exists so it must be post 2099. Aliens: Fast Track to Heaven

On a hunt on UE-753 in the Kaus Borealis System, Ahab was hunting a four-armed, red-skinned, primitive species. In the battle, the creature stabbed Ahab, causing Ahab to lose an eye and mandible. In exchange for giving up the human research colony on Bahgreb, the Space Jockey provided Loki with the coordinates of a place where they would find an ample supply of Ovomorphs for research and bio-weapon engineering: the Derelict on LV-426 in the Zeta II Reticuli system. Loki passed the information along to the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, which happened to have a ship scheduled for passing by Zeta II Reticuli on their trip from Thedus back to Earth: the Nostromo. The resident science officer is replaced with Ash, an android programmed to execute Special Order 937: to secure a kiande amedha specimen and bring it back to Earth at all costs. Before the crew would enter hypersleep, Ash secretly reprogrammed the Nostromo's course to make sure that MOTHER would be able to pick up the signal of the Derelict on LV-426.
