Fugutive Ultimate

2018 – October

Deep space.

Ultimate Yautja is pursuing Fugitive, who has stolen some technology from him. Ultimate Yautja severely damages Fugitive's ship but he escapes by jumping into hyperspace. He emerges in Earth's orbit and collides with a satellite, causing him to descend into the Earth's atmosphere. Fugitive suits up and ejects in a life-pod as the ship crashes somewhere in Mexico.

Mexico. Night.

dupree A three-man group of elite Special Forces under the command of the sniper Captain Quinn McKenna is preparing a covert American anti-drug enforcement operation to remove a local drug lord. Quinn, Dupree, and Haines watch as men take 2 hostages out of vehicles. Just as soon as Quinn takes out one of the men, Fugitive's ship crashes overhead. This disperses Quinn's team, and causes several injuries. Quinn looks for his men and encounters Fugitive's ship, armor, and a Bio-Mask. Dupree finds Quinn as Quinn packs up the alien mask and gauntlet, as no one would believe his story otherwise. A body, strung upside down, falls partially down from the tree, startling Quinn and Dupree. They also see Fugitive as he uncloaks briefly. He re-cloaks and attacks the humans, killing Dupree.

Quinn inadvertently uses the wrist gauntlet, firing a flachette at Fugitive. It merely knocks him down, allowing Quinn to retreat as a helicopter passes overhead. The helicopter lands and government agent Will Traeger, from Project Stargazer, steps out. He immediately orders all soldiers to hunt for Fugitive to bring back to the lab for experimentation and observation.

2018 – October 31

Mexico. Morning.

In town, Quinn heads to a bar and asks the owner for help. He refuses and turns away. When he turns back, Quinn has vanished. Yet someone is still there- Quinn used the Yautja's cloak, spooking the man. McKenna orders the man to send contents of the bag - the Yautja's armor from the ship's remains - back home to the house of his ex-wife Emily and his autistic son Rory. Soldiers then immediately capture him.

Georgia. Lawrence A Gordon Middle School. Morning.

Rory is in class, sitting alone. Next to him are two classmates playing chess when two students in the hallway pull the fire alarm as a prank. Rory reacts badly to the noise and covers his ears, curling up in the fetal position as the students all vacate the premises. The two pranking students find Rory and are about to torment him but decide against it and leave, knocking over all the chess pieces from several boards. Rory, with the noise having stopped, gets up and sees the mess. He then proceeds to pick up the chess pieces and puts them back on the boards - in the same positions they held before being knocked over. En route to home, he passes by a yard with a dog. The dog barks loudly at Rory, who flinches and covers his ears again and slowly gets distance from the noise. When Rory gets home, his mom Emily is not there. The mail man arrives with several packages. He is looking for Quinn, as his post office fees are past due.

Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland.

Casey Bracket, an evolutionary biologist, is walking her dog when she is approached by government officials who use the code phrase "Stargazing". They escort her back to their car where they hand her a file on the operation in New Mexico and the discovery of the Yautja. He explains to her that the Yautja have been here before - in 1987 and 1997. They have noted that these visits are increasing in frequency.

Georgia. Later that night.

Emily returns home, finding that Rory had already read several advanced textbooks. Emily then presents Rory a few options for his Halloween costume. Rory, bullied at school, is anxious for Halloween and does not want to dress up, in fear of his tormentors still recognizing him.

Pred Cast At the Veterans Hospital, Quinn is being interrogated about his experiences in Mexico under the guise of a psych exam - which does not fool Quinn.

Meanwhile, Rory opens the package from his dad with the Yautja armor. He accidentally activates the 3D hologram program from the gauntlet.

Quinn, cuffed, is escorted from the building by 2 soldiers to a bus with military rejects suffering from a range of mental conditions. They had adopted the name "The Loonies", and include ex-Marine Gaylord "Nebraska" Williams, military veterans Coyle and Baxley, helicopter pilot Nettles, and another ex-Marine, Lynch. Nebraska introduces Quinn to the others on the bus.

The helicopter comes in for a landing at Project Stargazer HQ. Casey is escorted into the base where she meets Sean Keyes and comes across a display featuring some Yautja weapons, and eventually the captured and the heavily sedated Fugitive Yautja.

casey traeger

Casey Bracket: Why do you call it the Predator?

Traeger: It's a nickname, the data suggests that it tracks its prey, exploits weakness. Seems to enjoy it, like a game.

Casey: That's not a predator, that's a sports hunter. A predator kills its prey to survive, what you're describing is more like a bass fisherman.

Traeger: Well we took a vote, Predator is cooler. The Predator. 20th Century Fox. Sept 14 2018.

Traeger informs Casey that they found his escape pod in Mexico, but haven't found the ship it came in. Traeger and Sean Keyes explain that their test results so far for Fugitive Yautja revealed something odd. Even after running the genome sequence 10 times, the results always indicated Fugitive Yautja has human DNA. They know about spontaneous speciation - mostly plants and insects. But some mammals like sheep and goat. The red wolf is a hybrid between the coyote and gray wolf. They want Casey to learn more about Fugitive Yautja. They go over its equipment and notice that it is missing a helmet and one gauntlet. She looks over the file, and finds a file on Quinn - the man who made first contact. She demands to see him.

Fugitive Yautja quickly escapes its bonds and begins rampaging through the facility, slaughtering the soldiers attempting to stop it. He spares Casey when it finds her cowering naked and unarmed in the decontamination shower.

The Loonies witness Fugitive Yautja's escape and use the distraction to overpower their guards, fleeing the base with Bracket, who was chasing Fugitive Yautja.

After a brief conversation with Bracket, McKenna reveals that he mailed the Yautja equipment he stole in Mexico to his estranged wife and son in order to keep it safe, and now fears the Yautja will be heading there to retrieve it. The group head to Emily's house, only to discover that Rory has already gone out trick or treating wearing the mask and gauntlet as his costume.

Rory accidentally kills a man with the Yautja mask and blows up his house, causing chaos in the neighborhood. He heads to his school football field, the only place he feels is safe. However, after arriving, he is ambushed by Yautja Dogs, who are quickly dispatched by McKenna, Nebraska, Bracket, and the others.

hybrid The group flees with Rory to Rory's school, where they are attacked by Fugitive Yautja. Cornered, McKenna begins to hand back the creature's lost technology. However, the Yautja is pulled out of a window by the larger Enforcer Yautja, who proceeds to kill his subordinate.

Laying low at an abandoned barn, Bracket concludes Enforcer Yautja is the result of genetic experimentation by the Yautja. They are gathering worthy traits from other species and fusing them with their own genome to create an upgraded version of themselves.

Government employees arrive at Emily's house, but the Yautja arrives and kills them.

While most of the Loonies go to secure transport, McKenna, Bracket and Nebraska Williams are captured by Traeger, who shares his theory that the Yautja anticipate climate change will soon lead to the extinction of the human race and with it their ability to retrieve human DNA for further hybridization. Thus they are scrambling to retrieve as much as they can before it's too late. One of Traeger's men sees Rory drawing a map to the spaceship, which leads Traeger to believe Rory knows how to get in. Traeger takes him away to find the vessel.

McKenna and the others escape with the help of a brain-damaged Yautja Dog and, reunited with the rest of the Loonies, set off in pursuit.

They arrive at the ship, but Stargazer personnel have already secured the crashed Yautja ship. McKenna and the Loonies launch an assault, but are interrupted by Enforcer Yautja, which kills the Stargazer security force and boards the vessel. Once aboard, it uses Stargazer-developed translation software to inform the humans outside of his intend to destroy the craft in order to keep it out of their hands. It then gives them a head start before it begins hunting them.

Forced into an uneasy truce, McKenna, the Loonies, Traeger and the remaining Stargazer soldiers flee into the woods as the ship explodes. The Yautja soon catches up with them and begins killing off the team. Acting as bait to lure the Enforcer Yautja into a clearing rigged with explosives, Enforcer Yautja impales Baxley on a tree and disembowels Coyle. They simultaneously shoot each other to end their suffering. Traeger tries to use a Yautja weapon on Enforcer Yautja, but accidentally kills himself in the process as a result of not knowing how to use it.

In the confusion, Enforcer Yautja takes Rory, apparently deeming his autism an advancement in human evolution and therefore worthwhile for Yautja hybridization, and takes off in its ship. McKenna and the two remaining Loonies, Nebraska and Nettles, jump aboard, but Nettles is killed when the Yautja activates the ship's energy shield, slicing off his legs and leaving him to fall to his death. Nebraska sacrifices himself to bring the vessel down, jumping into the engine, and it crashes back down into the forest below. McKenna, Bracket and Rory collectively engage Enforcer Yautja, and are finally able to overpower and kill it.

They pay their respects to their fallen comrades with trinkets representing each one before heading off.

Sometime later, McKenna visits a scientific laboratory where his son is now working to decode Yautja technology. While there, he witnesses the opening of a pod that was ejected from Fugitive Yautja's ship before Enforcer Yautja destroyed it. A piece of technology emerges, attaching itself to a nearby worker and encasing him in an armored "Yautja killer" suit, before deactivating once again. McKenna witnesses this and chooses to prepare for the Yautja invasion.
