Shaw, Holloway, Fifield, Millburn, Ford and David8 discover a gigantic humanoid body (an Engineer) that has been beheaded by a door after determining the facility has a breathable environment. Other bodies are discovered, causing the team to believe the species is extinct. The revelations make Millburn and Fifield uneasy, so they decide to return to Prometheus.

When David8 opens the door, they discover the body's head inside, surrounded by a massive statue of a humanoid head and a great number of Ampules.

In the meantime, Holloway unintentionally consumes champagne tainted with the the Black Goo found in the Ampule by David8 . He had sex with Shaw later on.

Fifield and Millburn are trapped inside the structure, in the Ampule Room, which is progressively filling with the the Black Goo. Fifield falls face first into the the Black Goo, while Millburn is assaulted and killed by a Hammerpede.

December 26, 2093. Morning.

The storm was over. Janek leads a team comprising of Shaw, Holloway, David8, Ford co-pilot Chance and security guard Jackson by to the structure to find Fifield and Millburn after they failed to report in and contact could not be established.

Under the guise of repairing a broken Spectagraph, David8 went on his own adventure, discovering a Juggernaut spacecraft in an underground hangar. David8 discovered that the Juggernaut was about to leave for Earth to eliminate humanity with the Black Goo when an accident killed the Engineer crew 2000 years ago by managing the ship's system. He also discovered that one Engineer had managed to withstand the chaos by going into cryosleep.

Millburn’s body is discovered in the Ampule Room by Janek's search party, but they must return to the Prometheus after Holloway becomes unwell from the Black Goo David8 put in his drink. He encourages Vickers to incinerate him by attempting to break ship quarantine, believing he is beyond saving and unable to handle the torture any longer. December 26, 2093. Afternoon.

Shaw awakens in the medical suite to learn from David8 that she is pregnant with a child of unknown origin, which should be impossible. She dashes out of hospital and uses an automatic Medpodi to extricate a squid-like creature.

Meanwhile, a horrifically deformed Fifield returns to the ship and murders several members of the crew before being incinerated.

Shaw wandered the ship's halls, dazed and scared, and discovered that Sir Peter Weyland had secretly accompanied the mission. Despite Shaw's complaints, David8, Ford and Jackson were preparing him to meet the last Engineer.

The Engineer awakens. Weyland then uses David8 to communicate with the Engineer in an early dialect rather than learning it himself using the Broca Dialectical Implant. The Engineer responds by decapitating David8 and killing Ford, Jackson and Weyland. Shaw nearly escapes, and it is revealed that a massive ship is underground, and the Engineer intends to lift off with thousands of Ampules holding the the Black Goo — towards Earth, according to David8.

Janek, at Shaw’s request, slams the Prometheus into the Juggernaut, destroying it. Vickers, who managed to flee the Prometheus, is crushed when the href="ships2.html#Juggernaut">Juggernaut crashes.

Shaw made it to the lifeboat that Janek had dropped before the Prometheus was destroyed, only to be ambushed by the Engineer, who had survived the accident. However, when the Engineer confronts Shaw, Shaw manages to open the Medpodi's door, releasing her embryo, which has grown into a massive tentacled monstrosity. It assaulted the Engineer and rapidly overpowered him.

Despite his decapitation, David8 called Shaw, requesting that she retrieve him and explaining that there were many additional Engineer ships on LV-223, and that he would be able to control one and return them to Earth. Shaw accepted on the condition that he would instead take her to the Engineer homeworld, where she could learn why the Engineers, who had originally created humanity, now sought to destroy it.
