The Afganistan Yautja's mask resembles Jungle Hunter's in 1987, although the eye lenses are constantly burning big blue, despite not being a good tactical feature. The mask gets a lot of battle damage and the Afganistan Yautja loses half of it. In the end, it gets blown off his face and the Afganistan Yautja is killed by the human hunters in an explosion.

In his prime, Ahab had taken deadly trophies from numerous worlds, and has the scars to prove it.

Upon becoming an Elder, he began his obsession with a creature more formidable than any Yautja had ever faced before: the Engineers (hence the nickname Ahab).

Ahab's mask doesn't cover his whole face - the mouth is left in the open.

In 2107, on a hunt on UE-753 in the Kaus Borealis System, Ahab was hunting a four-armed, red-skinned, primitive species. In the battle, the creature stabbed Ahab, causing the Yautja to lose an eye and mandible. Ahab killed the creature, and discovered a cave painting of Engineers that the four-armed creatures seemed to worship.

By January 22 2219, Ahab hunted large beasts on a jungle-like planet when his tribe detected the Geryon. Once the tribe arrived at the Geryon, they split up. Ahab studied a hologram of Galgo holding an Engineer weapon. Ahab investigates the Geryon, eventually secretly boards the Perses before Galgo detaches the ship from the Geryon.

Jan 23, 2:54 am. When the ship detects Ahab's presence, Galago awakens Piper and Higgins from hypersleep. Piper located Ahab and attacked him with a stun baton-like device, but Ahab kills him with his Plasmacaster. Galago and Higgins plan a trap for Ahab. Galgo leg Higgins to the airlock where they last detected Ahab. When Higgins entered the airlock, Galgo locked Higgins in and opened the airlock, apparently blowing them both into space. However, Ahab was still aboard the Perses, revealing himself to Galgo by leaping from the rafters. The two fight, but Ahab traps Galgo with a Netgun - only to free him in order to grab Galgo's Engineer rifle. Ahab then activates his Wrist Gauntlet, projecting a hologram of an Engineer. Galgo strikes a deal with Ahab: Galgo will take Ahab to LV-223 to hunt the Engineer aand Ahab will let Galgo go. Ahab seems to agree.

cuff cuff Jan 30. 11:16 am. The two arrived at LV-223. Galgo, thinking he held his end of the bargain, tried leaving Ahab. Ahab however, demanded that Galgo follows. Ahab grabbed Galgo's right arm and placed a "gauntlet cuff" on it, linking him to Ahab's gauntlet via a short range laser type device.

Once returning to the moon, the two venture into the jungle and come across a large pile of dead kiande amedha. Galgo and Ahab then find Angela and fellow crewmembers Chris and Jill Hanlock, still on the moon. Foster explains that the Engineers having been purging the moon of all wildlife, "clearing up" anything living they come across.

Ahab attempts to attack the new humans, but Galgo yanked hard on the gauntlet cuff, restraining Ahab and allowing the other humans to escape, Angela told Chris and Jill to head back to camp that she'd catch up later since she vowed that no one else would die.

Angela asked Galgo what mess had he drag to her life now, Galgo began trying to sweet talk her but received a punch in the face for abandoning her and her crew. As the two argue, Ahab is standing in the background observing both of them argue.

Galgo then told Angela that they could all be friends and that he did what had to be done when he abandoned her and the other survivors on LV-223, and that she would have done the same. She asked if this was his idea of a rescue - bringing reinforcements, referring to Ahab, Galgo replied "not quite".

Galgo asked if the Aliens didn't come up to the cave, and she said that they didn't, that they seemed to leave the caves of the mountain alone, she didn't know why but she didn't care, her only goal was getting off LV-223. Galgo then was about to ask what had she discovered about the fate of Peter Weyland since that's what she was after, but she interrupted him and told him he could spend the night with them at the cave, but come morning he was gone. Galgo suggested that "it's going to be a cold night in space" and then asked her if they had any heaters or anything to keep warm, she sarcastically replied that he'd be fine since he's a survivor. Ahab immediately shot the ground with his Plasmacaster creating a small fire.

Ahab and Galgo decide to exchange stories on how they obtained their scars. Galgo pulls down his neck bandanna, revealing an old scar and recalls how he saved two families from a group of pirates on a cruise ship.

Then he told Ahab he had shared a story and that it was his turn, "don't be shy" he said, then pointed to a large scar on Ahab's left thigh, and asked how he acquired that "beauty", Ahab showed a hologram depicting a large bipedal beast, Galgo replied "Ha, good story".

Whilst further exploring the jungle, Galgo and Ahab eventually, rather accidentally, meet the Engineer face to face. Galgo suddenly flees the scene, much to Ahab's surprise and after a brief battle, the Engineer quickly overpowers him, breaking an arm and a leg. Ahab retreats back into the Perses, the Engineer in hot pursuit. Ahab in a last ditch effort, manages to impale a harpoon into the Engineer's chest. The Engineer, however, is able to tear it out and prepares to finish Ahab off. Just before the Engineer kills the weakened Predator, Galgo returns and shoots him in his chest wound with the Engineer rifle that Galgo had previously found. Ahab finishes the job by setting a Self-Destruct Device, escaping the Perses and blowing up the ship.

After the two witnessed the the Perses explode, Ahab returned to the wreckage and began searching through it as Galgo, confused, tried to tell him that the Engineer was dead. The Yautja then grabbed the Engineer's skull and spinal column, holding it up in victory as he roared. Galgo, now alongside Foster, Chris and Jill, who came to investigate the explosion, said that he was beginning to like Ahab. Foster replied "Yeah, until he kills us next.", but Galgo told her they were too "minor league" for him. As the Yautja walked away, Galgo commented that Ahab "finally got his whale".

On February 12 at 7:16 PM Earth Central Time, after Galgo killed a kiande amedha, Foster mentioned that not everyone has a "Guardian Angel" like Galgo, referring to Ahab, but Galgo replied that he is of no use to Ahab anymore, but killing the Engineer had given him new lease on life so "he's been keeping himself busy." As they spoke of him, Ahab was stabbing a centipede-like creature with his spear.

Ahab had later left the group for several months, leaving them to struggle with starvation.

Galgo and Angela go hunting, stalking a small pack of three bio-mechanoid-like quadrupeds which they referred to as "pigs". However, the pigs later notice and attack the two. Angela manages to kill one but is attacked by another. It is suddenly shot and killed. The two look up to see Ahab standing over them. Ahab took his leave, but not before giving Angela and Galgo one of the pigs for food and some weapons he had crafted from bone.

The survivors later discuss using the Onager to drill into a mysterious mountain and uncover a human beacon within it that they speculate is coming from the USCSS Prometheus.

In a plan to retake the Onager, now infested with an immobilized Queen and bio-mechanoid kiande amedha-like creatures, Angela uses Galgo as bait for the mechanoids in an attempt to draw Ahab out of hiding.

After Galgo stepped in the open, the creatures charged towards him. Instead of Ahab, Elden arrived and began fighting the creatures. As Elden becomes overpowered and Angela and Galgo begin bickering, Ahab leaps over both of them with two machete-like blades in each hand and began slaughtering the creatures, the Queen included.

In the aftermath of the battle, Ahab suddenly approaches Elden and grabs him by his neck. Though Angela protests, Elden is okay with this as Ahab is actually embracing him. Ahab noticed Elden's clan mark and places his forehead onto Elden, honoring him, though Galgo is unimpressed. Shortly afterwards they started the Onager's engines, and the four; Angela, Elden, Galgo, and Ahab took off towards the mountain.

As the four flew in the Onager towards the mysterious mountain, Galgo becomes increasingly uncomfortable having to sit next to Elden. Elden notes that he can smell his guilt and that he "stinks of deception". Ahab laughs at this remark, surprising Galgo. Angela interrupts the bickering and announces that they arrived. Upon penetrating the side of the mountain, heaps of acid blood began gushing out, leading Elden to deduce that the mountain is actually alive.

After crashing the Onager and tracking the signal, the group eventually reach a wall, and it begins closing in on them. Moments before the group are crushed, Elden sacrifices himself by merging with the wall and opening a small hatch for the group to climb out. Angela and Galgo manage to escape but Ahab falls behind. Galgo reaches out his arm and Ahab grasps it as his pulls him out, scarcely managing to save his life.

Ahab and the others walk out into a desert horizon with their lives. As Angela is overstruck with joy, Ahab falls to his knees on the desert sand and begins laughing. Galgo then looking at both of them said "Oh sure, laugh it up. No beacon, no ship...and we lost the Onager. What'd we get for all that?" Angela replied, "We're alive, that's all we get", as Jill and Chris arrived at the scene.

A year later, it is revealed that the group had established a large base on the moon, complete with a water-filtration system and growth-dome. Ahab was in charge of establishing fortifications for the base, specifically setting up traps if any kiande amedha got too close.

At some point, the group had noticed a squad of USCM that had become stranded like them after landing on the moon in an Engineer Juggernaut. As the marines were ambushed by the creatures, Angela, Galgo and Ahab rescued them, with the marines in shock that a Predator had sided with humans. Angela and Galgo introduce the cautious marines to Ahab and take them to their fortress.

As the others take refuge in the base, Galgo and Ahab scout the Engineer ship, noticing that the Engineer piloting the Juggernaut had awakened a second Engineer to hunt the marines down.

Unfortunately, he was too late, as the captured Yautja was already experimented on by humans, impregnated with a Facehugger and;/ gave birth to a Predalien entitled "The Abomination" - which was killed by the second Yautja. This triggered a self destruct of Area 52 and the whole base exploded after the second Yautja escaped in the ship.

Arriving in orbit around Ryushi, the crew use Ovomorphs from a captive Queen held prisoner in the ship's hold to "seed" the planet with Kiande Amedha prey.

Unknown to the band of Yautja, the human rhynth-farming colony Prosperity Wells has been established on Ryushi since they last visited. Ackland and Roth discovers several dead crab-like creatures (facehuggers) near where the animals were pastured. Intrigued by the biologically unique specimens, Kesar heads out to where Roth claims to have found the dead creatures to investigate. Instead of more specimens, he instead discovers the Ne'dtesi and its crew, who have set down for their Hunt. When he is discovered, Kesar panics, and in attempting to flee on his speeder he accidentally crashes into the Ne'dtesi, destroying it and killing himself.

With Dachande incapacitated by the explosion and his lieutenants killed, the young Yautja find themselves leaderless. One of their member, Tichinde, tries to usurp the position as Clan Leader, as Dachande is incapaitated, but 'Aseigan will not follow Tichinde's lead as un-Blooded cannot legally kill Kiande Amedha. Tichinde kills 'Aseigan with his Burner, and elects that the inexperienced Yautja will attack the humans they now realize are on Ryushi, relishing the challenge.

Blazer

References
blazer
  • AvP: Extinction. EA. 2003. Software.

The Blazer is a military-grade heavy support trooper capable of rapidly turning its surroundings into a raging firestorm with their shoulder-mounted blazer. No other known personal-scale weapon system has the ability to achieve the overall damage output of which the blazer is capable.

Like all military-grade Yautja, the Blazer wears tactical supremacy armor. This widely feared protective suit provides its wearer with substantial defenses against kinetic, fire, and acid damage. Its exceptional hardness also deflects outright any projectiles not specifically designed to penetrate armor. Consequently, enemies must make a concentrated effort to defeat any Predators possessing this defensive system.

When upgraded, the Blazer mounts a set of two linked blazers, one on each shoulder. The dual blazers coordinate their fire in order to maximize the damage they inflict, by keeping as many enemies on fire as possible. With this upgrade, a single Blazer can set an entire enemy platoon on fire in seconds.

The Blazer excels at spreading large quantities of damage across multiple targets. This works particularly well against ranged enemies, since they often arrange themselves in ways that are easy for the Blazer to strafe. The Blazer's ability to fire on the move is critical for attacking melee enemies, since it enables the Predator to run from them while continuing its strafing. Finally, tactical supremacy armor ensures that killing even a single Blazer requires sustained, coordinated effort.

Since its attack is heat based, the Blazer is less than effective against enemies with fire resistance. It also has trouble with tight clusters of enemies, since its heat beam cannot pass through targets and therefore often fails to reach behind the front lines. Like the Hydra, the Blazer is vulnerable to enemies that have powerful "anti-tank" capabilities.

Brawler

References
brawler
  • AvP: Extinction. EA. 2003. Software.

If a Yautja has great strength, speed, and endurance, it trains to become a Brawler. The Brawler is both a tireless scout and vicious front-line fighter. It is revered for its bravery and its ability to successfully attack any kind of foe at close range, no matter how dangerous it might be.

As a matter of pride and honor, the Brawler relies upon one weapon only - its wrist blades. Through its wrist blades, a skilled Brawler is a whirlwind of destruction, slicing, dismembering, and gutting enemies with alarming rapidity.

Once a Brawler starts attacking an opponent, it uses its training to channel its battle rage into an unrelenting stream of ruthless, cleaving blows. Only the largest, most skilled, or most heavily armored opponents can withstand this attack and actually fight back. Lesser enemies can only try to survive the assault or run from it, but not counterattack.

The Brawler is quick enough to strike leaping Facehuggers mid-flight. This knocks the Facehugger away and often kills it in the process. While a Brawler's reflexes are quick enough to protect it from any number of uncoordinated Facehugger attacks, they cannot protect the Brawler from being overwhelmed by multiple Facehuggers attacking simultaneously.

The veteran Brawler develops an uncanny ability to deliver the perfect blow amid its furious onslaught. Such a strike does extreme damage and is frequently accompanied by the Brawler's hallmark battle cry. When a Brawler delivers a killing blow in this way, it is often spectacular - Brawlers are known to decapitate their enemies in a single strike as a method of demoralizing their subsequent victims.

The Brawler is an excellent all-around combatant. Its savage assault prevents most smaller enemies from counterattacking or escaping and its armor-slicing claws are potent against larger, more heavily armored opponents. In numbers, Brawlers can bring down almost any enemy, though sometimes without the cost efficiency of more specialized Yautja. The Brawler's speed and durability also make it an excellent scout; it can often survive surprise encounters with even heavy resistance.

When upgraded with Glory Strike, it causes extreme damage by a powerful hit and sometimes decapitate the target.

Using fire, they drive the creatures from the nest, making their hunt more challenging. Renegade, a young unblooded Yautja, is eager to start. Cracked Tusk, the battle-scarred elder of the hunting party, orders Renegade to wait. The Hunt does not begin until the elder sounds the call. He waits, giving the creatures a head start. Then he howls the war cry: the hunt is on. Renegade scans the swamp for movement, eager to prove himself. He fails to detect the kiande amedha sneak up from behind. The two battle, with the kiande amedha seemingly gaining the upper hand as it disarms and unmasks Renegade. From above, Cracked Skull watches the fight, but a second kiande amedha joins the battle, using his craft to kill the newcomer, leaving Renegade alone again to end his first Hunt, whether he wins or loses.

Later, Cracked Tusk and his tribe had landed on the planet LV-797 and discovered an Engineer juggernaut. Wanting to uncover the derelict's secrets for themselves, the tribe guarded the ship against any intruders, specifically a Seegson excavation squad wanting to asset-strip the planet from it's original buyer (Weyland-Yutani). Due to the suspicion of Seegson activity on the planet, the combat ship Hasdrubal and it's 31 USCM crew were assigned to investigate the planet. The tribe immediately began hunting the trespassers, with the Hive Wars Yautja and Cracked Tusk killing three lone marines, Chimo, Garland and Herrman.

A search party is later killed by the Hive Wars Yautja, leaving only Rucker alive. After a battle between the two, Rucker manages to severely wound the hunter. As he looks over the dying Yautja, Cracked Tusk and multiple other Yautja emerge and surround Rucker. As they are about to close in for the kill, Sergeant Roth and his squad manage to catch up and drive the tribe back into the jungle.

The marines later realize that the hunters are protecting the massive Engineer derelict that they had recently discovered, and are killing anyone that encounters it. In a bid to secure the derelict, Captain Paget decides to send Sergeant Roth and his team into one of their dropships to fly over to the Engineer ship and secure the interior whilst Paget's team approaches the vessel by foot, attempting to sweep the forest using M314 Motion Trackers to flush out the hunters.

However, as the dropship passes over the derelict, Cracked Tusk is seen hanging from the juggernaut looking down below at the approaching ship. He suddenly leaps down, landing on the ship and dives his Combistick into it, destroying the stabilizers and causing it to crash. Meanwhile, a group of Yautja ambush Paget's squad and a firefight ensues.

Cracked Tusk reaches into the crashed ship's cockpit and pulls out Singer, preparing to kill him. Rucker manages to save him by shooting and wounding the hunter, sending him into a retreat. Roth's squad enters the interior of the vessel, with Singer suggesting that he would be able to get the ship operational and have the ship leave Tartarus and abandon the Yautja. Cracked Tusk, unbeknownst to the other marines, was observing them within the derelict and called for the Yautja who were battling Paget's crew to retreat back to the vessel to stop them from lifting it.

Cracked Tusk suddenly ambushes the squad, immediately decapitating a marine and advancing towards, Singer and Roth. Cracked Tusk pins Singer against a sarcophagus-like object and goes in for the kill. Singer manages to dodge, causing Cracked Tusk to plunge his wristblade into the sarcophagus and immobilize himself. Survivor Humble manages to grab hold of a pulse rifle and shoot him point blank, finally killing the Yautja.

This Yautja's apearance resembles Jungle Hunter from 1987, though he has a brighter colour variation, steeper forehead and a shorter height.

Classic Yautja is held prisoner by the three larger, more aggressive Yautjas. He is tied to a small totem, stripped off his armour and equipment, and is seemingly dead.

Royce and the remaining survivors, while investigating the Berserker Yautja's hunting camp, come across Classic Yautja. When the group get too close, Classic Yautja flares back to consciousness. Before the group can continue they are attacked by three Super Yautja.

Later, Royce returns to bargain with Classic Yautja. Royce would cut him down and in return Classic Yautja will take him to his ship. Royce hold up his end, cutting Classic Yautja free. As soon as Classic regains his weapons and equipment, he starts up his ship from his control-panel. Before either can continue, Beserker Yautja arrives in the camp with a captured Isabelle and Edwin. After dropping them into a large pit, Beserker Yautja notices Royce and Classic Yautja. As the two Yautja fight, Royce runs towards the ship. Beserker Yautja eventually overpowers Classic Yautja, swiftly decapitating Classic Yautja, killing him instantly.

In 1933, Annie sees a Yautja ship landing nearby in Montana but thinks it is a shooting star.

2 days later, Mary calls Tommy and tells him that his uncle Jack is an hour late returning from the far pasture where he has been working. She orders him to fetch him. As he heads out into the approaching night, he is joined by Annie.

Not long after setting off, they discover the mutilated body of a cougar, disemboweled and decapitated, its head nowhere to be found. Tommy is horrified, but Annie is more upset by the fact someone would be cruel enough to do such a thing to a poor cat. As they press on, they also find several rattlesnakes that have been similarly cut open and beheaded. As if on cue, they hear a terrifying roar in the night, and, fearing it may be whatever is responsible for the slaughtered animals, rush to find their uncle, who they know carries a rifle whenever he is out in the pastures.

Reaching the boundary fence, Tommy and Annie discover their uncle has been subjected to a similar fate as the animals they came across. At that moment Annie sees her shooting star, a glowing object, lying in the scrub nearby. She runs over to it. Tommy follows, and they are confronted by the the "Devil" and the severed heads of Jack and the cougar clutched in its hand.

As the Devil stares down at them, Tommy steps between it and his sister, hoping in vain to save her; but the Devil does not attack. Tommy realizes it has no interest in killing them because they are not dangerous and pose no threat.

Tommy tells his sister to run back to the house, before grabbing a mysterious glowing object on the ground and running after her. The Devil immediately sets off in pursuit. The two children manage to beat it back to the farm, Annie heading straight for the barn to hide. Tommy instead bursts into the house, and hurls the strange device he carries at her, then dives beneath the table for shelter. Before Mary can reach him, the Devil enters the room. As Tommy hides, he hears Mary fire at it with the shotgun kept by the fireplace, then screaming, and finally silence.

When Tommy dares to look, his aunt is dead, and the Devil is standing over him. When he makes no attempt to move or attack the Devil, it mutters to him in an alien tongue, then leaves.

Disc Master

[Yautja Smartdisk]
  • AvP: Extinction. EA. 2003. Software.

Yautja giften with exceptional intelligence and focus become Disc Masters, Sain'ja (warriors) that mentally command their discs to strike multiple targets simultaneously. When basking in the full glory of battle, a single Disc Master routinely keeps three discs aloft at once, each of which can attack three targets before returning home. While other Yautja are attacking a single target, the Disc Master is attacking nine, a feat that does not go unnoticed by its fellow clan members.

A competent Disc Master can be expected to quickly damage many targets, no matter how agile they might be. Moreover, the disc is initially thrown with sufficient force to drive back those opponents without substantial armor or large size.

When upgraded with Nanovibronic Edge, the Disc Master gains a set of nine nanovibronic discs. These discs possess a high-speed molecular chainsaw around their circumference that can tear through even hardened composite armors. Worse, each Disc Master is trained in the art of Ka'Ri, or "death from within". This involves embedding three nanovibronic discs in an armored opponent and activating each disc's "haywire mode". Needless to say, few enemies fare well with berserk ripping machines embedded in their internals.

The Disc Master is best employed in a support role against enemies that are easily disrupted by the initial impact of each disc. Most Marines and all kiande amedha less powerful than a Predalien fall into this category. When upgraded, the Disc Master becomes an excellent all-around support Yautja, stunning or tearing apart light and heavy enemies alike. This capability only magnifies in numbers - a large group can unleash a veritable hurricane of discs few enemies can penetrate.

For all its skill at degrading throngs of enemies in combat, the Disc Master is actually fairly weak in one-on-one or front-line combat. It is not as tough as other Yautja, and its standard discs have little ability to damage or stun armored opponents. It is for these reasons that Disc Masters are taught to rely upon peers for defense. That, and the hard-earned battle wisdom that it is better to kill one enemy than damage ten, since the dead one cannot strike back....

A Nazi commandant and his team have taken a young boy hostage. They had killed everyone in his village, wanting only silver and gold (the ransom of Emperor Atahualpa), and what was hidden in the mountains since 1533 - a secret his village had kept so long. They promised the boy he'd live if he led them to the Incan gold. The boy knew the treasure as "Sweat of the sun, tears of the moon."

The treasures remained untouched since the days of the Conquistadors because it was their duty to protect it. But nonetheless, the boy led them to it. Despite what they promised the boy, the Nazi commandant orders the boy executed. Fortunately, the cloaked Yautja throws his shuriken and kills the man. It decloaks to kill the Nazi commandant and all his men, sparing the boy. As it took the Nazi commandant's head, the Yautja repeated two words: "Der Reichtum." It was German for: "The Treasure."

The Yautja approaches the boy and raises its hand, extending the Ki'cti-pa (Wrist Blades). The boy, expecting to die, is shocked to see the Yautja had instead cut his bonds and left.

  • Predator (2018) – 7″ Scale – Ultimate Fugitive Predator (Lab Escape). NecaOnline.com, 2018. Figure.

Fugitive was not as much a Hunter as he was a Sain'ja (warrior). He wore an advanced, militant type armor - its technology was mor advanced than the Yautja encountered in 1987, 1997 or even 2004. The mask has it's own protective system and can shoot down incoming projectiles.

Fugitive was a very capable combatant. Even when unarmed, he was able to easily fend of numerous well trained soldiers. Fugitive was knowledgable in certain human customs and hand language - he uses a dead man's severed arm to create a thumb's up gesture in an escape van to a human driver while hidden in the back. Fugitive was also knowledgable with human weapons and how to use them as he wielded a Human rifle while escaping the Stargazer Base.

Despite having traces of Human DNA in his genetic code, Fugitive's appearance did not alter too much, unlike Ultimate Yautja.

Despite that historically the Yautja hate sharing their tech, in 2018 Fugitive's secret mission was to deliver stolen technology, the "Predator Killer," to humans in hopes they could fend of a future Yautja invasion. This technology is a form of alien nano-tech which binds with its host, encapsulating the wearer in a suit of robust armor, armed with numerous Predator-style weapons. It seemed designed specifically to target and destroy the Yautja.

However, some Yautja, including Fugitive and Ultimate Yautja, have been splicing their genome with the most powerful species in the Galaxy - Humans being one of them. This invasion, as Will Traeger believes, would attempt to claim Earth as their own new home once Earth's climate became too hot for Humans to survive on - leading to their eventual extinction.

Fugitive is pursued and attacked by Ultimate Yautja. To evade capture, Fugitive creates a worm hole leading him to Earth but due to the damage on his ship he crashes in Mexico. He is promptly captured by Project Stargazer. He escapes, wasting no time in dismembering any Stargazer personel. Once outside, he sees Ultimate Yautja's ship overhead. As he races towards Ultimate Yautja, seemingly reluctant to kill "the Loonies" until quickly attacked by Ultimate Yautja. Fugitive somehow missed his initial Plasma Caster shot and tried to take on Ultimate Yautja with his Wrist Blade alone. Fugitive showed no hesitation or fear when engaging Ultimate Yautja, despite being vastly outmatched. Ultimate Yautja slammed the Fugitive into a parked car before ripping off his mask and crushing his skull. Then Ultimate Yautja ripped Fugitive's skull and spinal cord out from his body and chucked it aside.

Hunter

hunter
  • AvP: Extinction. EA. 2003. Software.

The Hunter excels at attacking its prey from range. It is dangerous whether playing the lone assassin or providing massed fire support for front line combatants. Yautja vision mode enhancements are particularly useful for the Hunter, since they allow it to take maximum advantage of its long range plasma caster and strike targets from beyond their field of view.

The Hunter is best with vision upgrades. With them, it can attack enemies from well outside their visual ranges - ideal for preemptive elimination of enemies that nulify the advantages of cloaking. When upgraded, the Hunter's dark plasma is devastating against heavier "tank" enemies; no known opponent can survive more than ten shots from this munition. The weapon attempts to keep its target on fire, while striking it with whatever plasma causes the most damage.

Though still formidable fighter, the Hunter has neither the rate of fire nor the armor to survive long against close range melee attackers. It should be particularly wary of Runners, since they are able to get into melee range quickly. Against Marines, the Hunter should strive to remain undetected as much as possible. Massed Marine fire at range can make short work of a Hunter that has been caught off guard.

Hydra

References
hydra
  • AvP: Extinction. EA. 2003. Software.

The Hydra is a military-grade heavy assault Yautja, designed to wade into fierce engagements and methodically crush enemy resistance. Because of its Multi-missile System, the Hydra is an excellent shock trooper, in that it excels at killing enemies that counteract Yautja cloaking.

If a Hydra is engaging more than a handful of enemies, it may determine that it is necessary to unleash a full-scale missile barrage. When this happens, the Hydra fires a missile at every target within its visual range, frequently resulting in a truly overwhelming storm of projectiles. Given the energy requirements it places on the Hydra's systems, this maneuver can only be performed periodically, and even then, only when the Hydra is not cloaked.

Like all military-grade Predators, the Hydra wears tactical supremacy armor.

When upgrades, the Hydra fires electroshock missiles with multiple warheads. When a missile nears its target, it checks to see whether other enemies are within range of its warheads. If so, the missile splits into as many as three seperate sub-missiles, each capable of independently striking a different target. This upgrade can cause a Hydra shock barrage to release a mind-boggling number of independent warheads.

The Hydra is a dangerous combatant in most circumstances, though it excels at attacking groups of tough enemies from range. Its tactical supremacy armor gives it excellent staying power when outnumbered, and its shock barrage naturally inflicts tremendous amounts of damage in these situations. The Hydra is also an excellent shock trooper, using its electroshock missiles to destroy cloak detectors and thereby enable other Predators to engage in a sustained, invisible assault.

Like other heavy combatants, the Hydra is vulnerable to enemies specifically designed to fill the "anti-tank" role; Snipers, SADAR Troopers, and Ravagers are all dangerous to the Hydra. While enabling surprising agility given the protection it provides, tactical supremacy armor still slows its wearer down, meaning that the Hydra often cannot escape if odds turn against it. The Hydra cannot fire while moving either, making fleeing particularly dangerous.

Following Jungle Hunter's death, its ship automatically returned to its homeworld, taking with it a record of everything that had happened in Val Verde. Shorty caused an incident when the clan tried to capture a Queen. Machiko saved his life from a kiande amedha but Shorty developed a deep vendetta against her.

Soon after, they had a one-on-one fight on the Yautja ship. Shorty cheated with the help of his friends and Machiko injured her ankle. After Machiko is left behind on the ship on Bunda, she decided to rejoin humanity and turn against her former hunter companions. She had another fight with Shorty, this time to the death. Machiko cut off Shorty's left arm and wristblades. Shorty was dazed and confused, and could not put up much of a fight after this, holding his stump with the right arm. Machiko then stabbed him in the chest, putting an end to their conflict.

There is a confliction in reports as to how and where Shorty died. Shorty died in similar ways in both reports, although on different planets.

Lasershot is a sociopath with an obsession for technology and hi-tech weaponry, always seeking new and grotesque methods of "self-improvement." Growing up without a clan, honor and tradition never held any value for him. His only motivation is a morbid scientific curiosity with the goal of becoming the most efficient killing machine. Treating his body as a customizable vessel for his mind, he's been known to surgically integrate tech into his body in order to enhance his physical abilities. Several instances of self-mutilation are known, such as replacing his left hand for modular weapon use and even removing his own eye because he built a more afvanced version.

Lasershot's understanding of technology and bio surgery have made him a valuable asset to the Rogue Space Tribe for hunting non-organics. In turn, Spiked Tail and Armored Lost accept his dark obsessions and unusual personal interests.

As the Judges' heads start accumulating in the Yautja's trophy room it is down to Judges Dredd and Schaefer to stop the hunt.

Eventually, Judge Dredd took him on in a single one-on-one melee fight. Judge Dredd was briefly incapacitated in melee combat, and dropped his Lawgiver pistol. However, the pistol had a fail-safe that recognized the owner's heat signature, and it exploded in case of unauthorized usage. The Yautja stared at his smoking stump and Dredd stabbed him in the chest, ending the killing spree.

While he figured out their security system, he let the humans feel they had the matter under control. He faked his own death, killed his captors, and reclaimed his wrist gauntlet in the end. In 1994, San Drad has been overrun by the Aliens. Dutch Schaefer and Linn Kurosawa have been abandoned by their superiors and are cornered by a swarm of the Alien drones. Before they can be killed, a pair of the Yautja appear and destroy the Aliens. The Yautja offer an alliance with the two humans in order to stop the Alien infestation.

Dutch, Linn, a Yautja hunter, and a Yautja Sain'ja (warrior) successfully destroys the Hive. Later, they discover that the Aliens on Earth is the result of a bio-war project headed by the renegade General Bush working for the Weyland-Yutani corporation. They destroy the remaining Aliens in Bush's lab by crashing his military ship from orbit into San Drad, causing a huge explosion that eliminates all Alien life on Earth. The Yautja Sain'ja (warrior) then gives his wrist blades to Dutch and Linn, to honor them as Sain'ja (warriors), before the Yautja depart back into space. Linn asks the Yautja why they chose to help them, and the Yautja's vague reply makes her and Dutch wonder whether they will have to fight them the next time they return to Earth.

The Yautja Sain'ja (warrior) is the older of the two Yautja, a well-balanced and powerful fighter. Hee searches the galaxy for worthy game to hunt. Equipped with powerful weapons, his honor will not let him take unfair advantage during a hunt.

The Hunter is the younger of the two, seeking to prove himself by hunting the most dangerous creatures known. He will destroy himself rather than be defeated. He fights similarly to the Sain'ja (warrior), but lacks the quick recovery and high priority in many of his attacks. However, he compensates with having a more damaging jumping dive attack.

Scar was the youngest and smartest of the blood brothers who visited the Antarctica temple in 2004, the others being Celtic and Chopper.

Upon arriving on the surface in drop pods, the three Young Bloods made their way to Razorback Point Whaling Station, situated above the pyramid, where they encountered several members of Charles Bishop Weyland's expedition. The three Yautja quickly slaughtered everyone they found, including Rusten Quinn's drilling team and several of Max Stafford's mercenaries. With the camp cleared, the Yautja descended to the pyramid below through the access shaft bored by their Mother Ship, with Scar briefly pausing at the base of the tunnel to finish Quinn.

Upon entering the structure, the Yautja discovered the human team had found and taken their Plasmacasters, and duly split up to hunt them down.[4] Scar was the first to discover the human expedition, ambushing them and killing Stone and Bass before the shifting pyramid separated most of the survivors. Still in pursuit of the stolen Plasmacasters, Scar later caught up with Alexa Woods, Sebastian and Weyland, confronting Weyland when he attempted to buy time for the others to escape with one of the Yautja weapons. Sensing the cancer eating away at Weyland's lungs, Scar initially spared him, but when Weyland attacked with an improvised flamethrower, Scar turned and impaled him on his Wristblades, killing him.

As Scar continued to pursue Lex and Sebastian, by this time the only Predator still alive inside the pyramid, he was ambushed by a Facehugger and a kiande amedha Drone, which he succeeded in killing. Now a Blooded Predator, Scar removed his bio-helmet and marked himself with the acid blood of the Facehugger. However, before he could put the helmet back on, a second Facehugger attacked, subduing him and impregnating him with a Chestburster.

When Scar eventually revived and caught up to Lex, she dutifully returned his Plasmacaster, realizing its significance and hoping Scar would spare her as a result of the act. The pair were then assaulted by a group of Drones led by Grid, which they succeeded in fighting off. Impressed by the fact Lex dispatched one of the kiande amedha herself, Scar mutilated one of the dead kiande amedha, fashioning a shield from its domed carapace and a spear from the tip of its tail that she could use to defend herself. Forging an uneasy alliance, the pair headed for the kiande amedha Hive so that Scar could destroy it.

Inside the Hive, Scar and Lex discovered Sebastian cocooned and impregnated — Scar caught the Chestburster that erupted from his body and casually snapped its neck. Scar then activated his Self-Destruct Device and left it in the Hive, fleeing the impending explosion with Lex. At the base of the tunnel through the ice, the pair were again attacked by kiande amedha, and while Scar was wounded he managed to escape with Lex up through the access shaft. Scar's Self-Destruct Device detonated moments later, and Scar and Lex had to flee the collapsing ice once they reached the surface.

With the pyramid destroyed, Scar gave Lex an initiation mark of her own, burning it into her cheek with kiande amedha blood. At that moment, the Queen burst through the ice, seeking revenge for the destruction of her Hive. Scar and Lex fought the Queen together, eventually chaining the beast to the whaling camp's cast iron separating vat and pushing it over the cliff into the sea. The massive weight dragged the Queen over the edge and into the frozen depths, but not before she impaled Scar with her tail, mortally wounding him. Victorious, Scar attempts to stab himself through the chest with his Ceremonial Dagger before he dies rather than birth the Chestburster within him, but he succumbs to his wounds before he can do so.

At that moment, the Mother Ship revealed itself nearby, while the Ancient Predator overseeing the hunt approached. The Ancient's companions collected Scar's body and carried it honorably to their ship, and the Yautja departed. As a sign of respect, Scar's body was placed atop a ceremonial plinth aboard the vessel, presumably to be transported home for burial. However, after the other Yautja left, a Predalien Chestburster emerged from his chest.

New Way Devil is then badly wounded while escaping the city in the middle of a large riote, leaving behind some of his equipment. As New Way Devil crosses a roof, the building collapses beneath him, getting trapped in the burning ruins. As a last resort, he sets off his ship's self-destruct sequence, leveling much of the city. Unfortunately, the blast does not kill New Way Devil as he is outside the range of the explosion. Shamed by defeat, New Way Devil is exiled by his clan to a remote, desolate planet. As New Way Devil watches his clan fly away, hostile insect-like creatures emerge all around him and close in.

A century later, New Way Devil is offered a chance for redemption. He returned to New Way City, now called Neonopolis, to redeem himself and regain his honor. Gaining the new name of Scarface (from a horrible facial scar and having only one eye), he slaughtered the criminal gangs of Neonopolis and wiped out the Borgia crime family.

Never removing his mask in front of others, he believes it helps him think more like the kiande amedha, and he sometimes even mimics their movements.

A skilled tracker and master of weapons, much of his success also stems from his considerably long life, estimated at over 1000 years. However, anyone who has come in contact with "Alien Head" will attest that he is in peak physical condition, showing no signs of old age.

Shrouded in mystery, his tendency to remain aloof outside the hunt only leads to further speculation about what really lies under the mask.

She and her comrades attempted to board Irons' ship, but automated defenses cut down her comrades while she herself just barely managed to get on-board the ship with her life.

She soon tracked down Sara Pezzini and Jackie Estacado who Irons had brought onto the ship for his twisted plans. Sister Midnight found herself drawn to the Witchblade, to the point that she didn't even attack Sara at first. Later she even saved Sara and Jackie from a kiande amedha, although it seemed like she only did so in order to keep Sara from being killed by anyone other than herself. She then followed Sara and Jackie onto the escape shuttle they planned to leave Irons' ship with. Both Sara and Jackie were ready to defend themselves against her, but Sister Midnight had actually come to deal with a more dangerous prey: a kiande amedha born from a creature of the Darkness - the DarkAlien.

The DarkAlien proved to be a fearsome foe, but after it was locked away into an airlock, Sister Midnight went to help herself to Sara's Witchblade. Sara tried to convince her that they needed to work together to defeat Irons, but Jackie interrupted the peace negotiation when he threatened to fire Sister Midnight's detached Plasma Caster. She cloaked herself and retreated for the moment, but later returned to assist Sara against the DarkAlien. When the DarkAlien began engulfing Sara and Jackie within itself however, the Witchblade transferred itself to Sister Midnight, and her efforts combined with Jackie's managed to destroy the DarkAlien. The Witchblade was then transferred back to Sara, allowing the two wielders to briefly link through it, and letting Sara know that the badly injured Sister Midnight still sought to end Irons' scheme for good. Per her wishes, Sara helped Sister Midnight set her self-destruct timer to go off. Taking off in the escape shuttle, Sara and Jackie saw Sister Midnight's self-destruct device destroy Irons' ship, thereby completing her mission to stop Irons while also giving her an honorable death in the eyes of her people.

Smiley ignored the humans and let them live, even though they carried weapons. When Smiley's clan members were killed by a swarm of kiande amedha emerging from an ancient temple, Smiley went on a rampage and killed scores of them. The rampage ended with him facing an ancient Queen. Smiley was victorious, although gravely wounded. He lost an eye and was covered in blood.

Snake

snake

One of the most enigmatic members of the Lost Tribe Predators, Snake earned his moniker from the skin that covers his uncovered face and arm, which resembles a snake. Snake was standing next to the Guardian Predator while sporting a combistick. He had a dangling decorative groin protection, same like the Warrior Predator.

Nothing is known about his history.

South China Sea Yautja

  • Predator: South China Sea. Jeff VanderMeer, October 08, 2008. DH Press, Print.

On a remote South China Sea island, a deadly hunt is underway . . . but not the kind of expedition the participants expected. In this remote jungle-covered island somewhere between Thailand and Indonesia some of the most exotic animals in the world have been gathered as the prizes in a challenge of human against nature. The hunters come from all walks of life: a South African arms dealer, a Romanian ex-wrestler, two former KGB agents, a wildlife TV host, a Thai pirate, and John Gustat, a billionaire with a mysterious past. Each has come to the island for personal reasons, some secret, some deadly. But when the encampment’s owner, ex-Khmer Rouge Colonel Rath Preap, finds the fences cut and his security men missing, it’s clear that the game has turned. And as the hunters battle for survival, they discover there is another creature out for blood–a Yautja with an unstoppable lust for conquest.

The South China Sea Yautja wrestles an alligator, kills more than a 100 human soldiers and surfs around the swamp on a hoverboard. He is only taken down in the end by a precise shot by a sniper to weak spot in his armor.

Spear Master

  • AvP: Extinction. EA. 2003. Software.

The Spear Master is recognized for its superior combat agility, mental focus, and dedication to craft. A Spear Master is one with its weapon, it's sear/combistick, wielding it with a sublime grace seemingly impossible in the imperfect world of practical reality. It can keep a single enemy at bay indefinitely, send a horde of attackers hurling backwards with a single blow, or assassinate prey by surprise with a single, perfectly placed impalement attack.

Spear Masters seen in hunts are normally equipped with around 10 Combistaffs all with different devices and "upgrades" (like the plasma glaive). Spear masters only participated in hunts vital to their entertainment or training. Spear Masters stalked their prey with precise and unheard movement. Spear Masters used their brilliant thinking and unmatched skill to impale their victim onto a wall or roof for all to see. Kiande Amedha are seen as simple prey for the Spear Masters but even the slighest mistake would result in the Spear Master's demise.

When a Spear Master is surrounded by attackers, it executes its whirlwind battle method. This sweeping, spinning attack lands a blow on each enemy around the Spear Master - a blow of sufficient strength to parry most attacks and send smaller targets flying. However, it requires a fair amount of room to execute without causing collateral damage, so the Spear Master refrains from performing it when too close to more than a handful of allies.

If the Spear Master attacks an enemy while undetected through cloaking, it is able to deliver a critical strike of unmatched strength. The Spear Master relies on its extensive training to deliver a deep, impaling blow in a way that sidesteps its opponent's armor entirely. Whether through an eye slit or a soft juncture between chitinous plates, this blow often kills its opponent outright.

As a rite of passage, every aspiring Spear Master must kill a Vy'drach (Phoenix) with only a spear. This winged beast lives in the infernal deserts of the Yautja homeworld, surviving hear and radiation strong enough to bake most life forms. If the Yautja kills the Vy'drach, its hide is fashioned into armor its nemesis wears for life. Like the Vy'drach itself, this armor is uniquely resilient to fire, energy, and radiation. A special armor-working process applied to the conductive vessels in Vy'drach scales enables the Spear Master to recharge its energy supply when struck by fire or energy-based attacks.

Like the Brawler, the Spear Master is quick enough to strike leaping Facehuggers mid-flight. This knocks the Facehugger away and often kills it in the process. While a Spear Master's reflexes are quick enough to protect it from any number of uncoordinated Facehugger attacks, they cannot protect the Spear Master from being overwhelmed by multiple Facehuggers attacking simultaneously.

Veteran Spear Masters acquire the deadly plasma glaive as a symbol of their status.

Against kiande amedha, the Spear Master is the premier "crowd control" combatant. It is able to wade into a sea of lesser kiande amedha and leave a trail of dead in its wake. Against Marines and kiande amedha alike, the Spear Master is useful for safely killing small numbers of enemies with hit-and-run assassination attacks. The Spear Master's phoenix armor also makes it ideal for countering Flamethrower Marines and upgraded SADAR Troopers. The Spear Master is feared by some Predators for its near immunity to plasma weaponry.

The Spear Master lacks the strength to deflect the strikes of any kiande amedha larger than a Sain'ja (warrior). These enemies make quick work of the Spear Master, particularly when attacking in numbers. The Spear Master should also avoid transbreed kiande amedha that have been frenzied by a War Empress. They are abnormally strong and cannot be fended. Against Marines, the Spear Master is vulnerable to massed fire and often cannot inflict casualties fast enough to prevent terminal retaliation.

Stalker

References
stalker
  • AvP: Extinction. EA. 2003. Software.

The Stalker is the Yautja equivalent of the Marine Sniper; it has the largest range of any Yautja and it is the stealthiest, in that it can maintain cloaked status for far longer periods than the others. Like the Hunter, the Stalker strongly benefits from enhanced vision mode upgrades, since its weapon significantly outranges its default field of view.

The Stalker's spear gun is an unusually potent weapon. First, it enables the Stalker to fire at opponents from extreme range. Second, its strike is hard to trace to its firing point - the weapon's impact reveals firing direction, but little else. Third, it produces no detectable phenomena at its firing point, enabling the Stalker to fire at enemies from close range without fear of being detected.

The Stalker wears a unique low-energy suit with microweave optical channeling that enables it to stay cloaked for far longer than if it used the conventional Predator cloaking mechanism. This benefit comes at a price, however, as the suit is fragile, provides no armor, and prevents the Stalker from moving quickly.

The Stalker gains significantly greater benefits from vision mode upgrades than other Yautja, enabling it to scout for prey at extreme distances.

When upgraded, the Stalker's weapon becomes a monstrous thing, designed to enhance the drama of the hunt at the cruel expense of its victims. Standard spears are replaced with "bleeder spears", hideously barbed harpoons that drain their victims' vital fluid levels to just above the point of death. This makes prey more satisfying to hunt; bringing once mighty prey to a pathetic state, bleeding profusely, almost crawling to escape - to many Predators, this is the essence of an epic hunt.

When commanded properly, the Stalker is devastating. It can severely degrade enemies from long range while cloaked, all but eliminating their ability to respond in any meaningful fashion. The upgraded Stalker is even better at this role, since it can slay an entire platoon of Marines on its own, by bleeding them to just above the point of death before delivering a round of finishing blows.

While exceedingly powerful in many ways, the Stalker has weaknesses to match. It has no armor, moves slowly, and is the most physically frail of Yautja. Its spears are deadly, but they have little ability to penetrate even moderately hardened armors. Robotic enemies are quite dangerous to the Stalker, since they typically have hard armor and ignore weapons that cause bleeding in organic creatures. Cloak detectors are also a danger, as detection often means death to the Stalker.

Descending from the Night Hunter Clan near the southern pole of Yautja Prime, Stalker lives in a world of complete darkness. Having developed unparalleled night vision technology, the members of Stalker’s clan hunt in coordinated packs over large, open areas. Their translucent skin is an environmental adaptation that allows their phosphorescent green blood to shine through, and that glow acts as a location sign in the absence of light. Pack hunting offers a great advantage, for while most creatures in this area are blind, their prey is also much larger than them and thus extremely dangerous to take down alone. Stalker and his clan are very removed from the rest of the planet and thus hunt more for survival than for sport. The Night Hunter Clan is one of the few Yautja clans that does not possess cloaking technology, as it is of no use in this environment.

Spiked Tail is allied with the Armored Lost and Lasershot. Spiked Tail’s unorthodox hunting methods and use of illegal weapons caused the exile of his team from Yautja Prime. Using stolen time/space technology, the Space Tribe can travel much farther in the galaxy than most Yautja. This has allowed them to advance pasthunting organic beings: they find non-organic mechanical beings to be more challenging prey and have modified their gear accordingly.

Spiked Tail’s age is assumed to be considerable, thus many suspect that the robotic trophies he claims for ornamentation are actually physical enhancements necessary to keep him in capable condition. In addition to hunting robotic life, a mysterious rival Yautja, the pirate called R’Zor, has threatened several Space Tribe missions and thus he has also become a target.

Captain Edward Soames was sent to hunt Spring-Heeled Jack down by Mycroft Holmes, the brother of Sherlock Holmes. Soames tracked Spring-heeled Jack down to the sewers of the city, shot him in the shoulder with his rifle, and wounded his chest with his pistols. In the final melee duel, Soames uses a machete to cut off the right arm of Spring-heeled Jack, disarming his wristblades as well. Without the use of his hand, Spring-heeled Jack drowned in the river Thames, seemingly accepting his fate and not struggling.

When his ship was discovered underground, Thackery refused to believe it was a flying craft - it had no wings - but rather some sort of submarine. Thus, he believes the "Spring-Heeed Jack" is an agent provocateur for a foreign power sent to destabilize the British Empire.

Super Yautja (Rogues)

These Super Yautja, as mentioned by Noland, seem to be be more akin to wolves if the original Yautja were to be compared to dogs. Physically, they stand as tall as other Yautja have a longer reptilian face structure, longer mandibles and a more primitive overall look to them. Their dreadlocks sit further back on their heads.

It's currently unknown why the Super Yautja are so different from a physiological standpoint. It is speculated that because of their more primitive appearance that the Super Yautja may be a previous step in the Yautja evolutionary chain - hence the blood feud and different hunting styles and lack of adherance to the previously followed Honor Code.

Nonetheless, they're more aggressive and hunt their smaller Yautja cousins. The reason behind the rift between the two types of Yautja is unknown. Nolan refers to the cause being due to "some kind of blood feud".

Noland

Noland: (Regarding the Super Yautja): Anyway, there's two different types of them out there. Hmm? Now, they're similar, but they're different. It's kind of like the difference between dogs and wolves. The one's that are running things up there, the larger ones, hunt the smaller ones. It's some kind of blood feud, I guess. Been going on for a long time. Predators. 20th Century Fox, 2010. Movie.

The Super Yautja hunting tactic differs as well, as they prefer capturing their prey, sedating them and then dropping them off on their own game preserve to be hunted and tortured in their own environment. Berserker had been using the Game Preserve Planet for numerous hunts. As Nolan pointed out, occasionally the prey manage to kill one of the Super Yautja - likely other members of Berserker's group.

In various human cultures, different sorts of hunting dogs have been and are used for a variety of purposes to assist with hunting animals of various sizes for sport and other reasons. Hellhounds are used by Tracker to flush out prey, chasing down and assisting with the take down of larger and deadlier game. For a hunting species, this seems like an impatient and lazy tactic requiring little effort from the Yautja, devaluing the hunt as a fair kill and demonstration of the Yautja's own prowess.

There are some slight differences in weapon preferences between the Super Yautja and other Yautja. Super Yautja prefer Gatling gun-like weapons to the traditional Plasmacaster and utilize single blades which spring from their Wrist Gauntlets. They also make good use of vocal mimicry and cloaking to hide from their prey until its the right time to strike.

The Tartarus clan elder was an old Yautja leading a hunting party on LV-797 (named Tartarus). They were drawn to the fighting that took place between Ahab, a squad of Colonial Marines from the USS Hasdrubal and a swarm of Kiande Amedha. Ahab was familiar with the Tartarus clan and challenged Hornhead to a duel. Ahab emerged victorious and gained the clan's respect. The Yautja joined in the fight against the Kiande Amedha.

The Tartarus elder had a tall figure, a large elongated mask, and a green cape. While many Yautja died in the subsequent fighting on LV-797, the elder managed to survive the slaughter by killing scores of Kiande Amedha.

The Yautja ship, Nedtesei">Ne'dtesi, is headed for Ryushi, where its commander Dachande intends to lead several inexperienced un-Blooded hunters in their first Hunt.

Instead of more specimens, he instead discovers the Nedtesei">Ne'dtesi and its crew, who have set down for their Hunt. When he is discovered, Kesar panics, and in attempting to flee on his speeder he accidentally crashes into the Nedtesei">Ne'dtesi, destroying it and killing himself.

With Dachande incapacitated by the explosion and his lieutenants killed, the young Yautja find themselves leaderless. One of their member, Tichinde, assumes command of the group, killing his peer 'Aseigan when he protests, and elects that the inexperienced Yautja will attack the humans they now realize are on Ryushi, relishing the challenge. To this end, the group assaults one of the outlying ranch houses and slaughters its occupants, the Sheldons, although their young son Bobby escapes on a speeder.

Tracker has two tusks jutting out the bottom of his helmet, made from the Hellhounds. He controls the Hellhounds. Tracker also has a whistling device which he uses to call his Hellhounds.

Like the other two Super Yautja, Tracker has wristblades which are much longer than normal Yautja (not including the Yautja in the Antarctic in 2004). They were also strong enough to lift Nikolai off the ground and hold him up.

Tracker possesses a shoulder cannon much stronger than a standard shoulder cannon. Its firing mechanism and sound effects are completely different. The longer he charges up the cannon, the more powerful the subsequent blast will be. One blast completely obliterated Noland after he charged it up but only injured Nikolai when he fired at him a little later. The Super Yautja also have a cloak and advanced vision modes enabling them to see even more ranges and in more detail.

Tracker prefers the company of the hounds rather than other Yautja. Upon his first official hunt of a kiande amedha, the hounds allowed Tracker to kill one in record time. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much of a trophy to collect as the hounds had ripped the kiande amedha to pieces.

In 2008, the Super Yautja captured a group of humans from Earth and dropped them on a Game Preserve Planet in order to hunt them. Tracker orders his Hellhounds to attack the humans. He manages to kill Cuchillo and sets a booby trap for the rest of the group which is unsuccessful. The humans reach the hunting camp where they find Classic tied up on a totem. The Super Yautja open fire on the humans, killing Mombasa, but the others escape uninjured.

Tracker tracks the humans to Noland’s hideout after Noland sets fire to it. The Super Yautja descend on the hideout and kill Noland but the rest of the humans escape. Edwin got lost in the darkness, lighting a flare in the process and threw it at the cloaked Tracker. Nikolai appeared and saved Edwin by firing at Tracker. Tracker shoots Nikolai in the back with his shoulder cannon and decloaks as he slowly walks towards Nikolai. Tracker impales Nikolai with his wristblades but Nikolai pulled out of two of his claymore mines. He set the charges and a huge explosion occurred killing both him and Tracker in the process.

The Yauja onboard Trechman Two was, Captain Akoko Halley believes, brought to the station for human experimentation.

He eventually broke free and slaughtered the station's crew. The Doyle came to investigate the loss of contact with the facility and recover vital research data from the station's computer core.

The Doyle's probe betrays the Yautja's presence on the station, and the humans board right away. Before long, the Yautja attacks Hanning, Rogers and Tew; Halley remotely links to their body cameras and can only watch as the creature begins brutally slaughtering the Marines. With his fellow Marines slain, and despite Halley's warnings, Tew attempts to kill the Yautja with the plasma setting on his weapon — the blast ruptures the station's hull, leaving Halley to believe both Tew and the Yautja were sucked out into space.

However, the Yautja survives and reenters the station. He is discovered remotely by Kalien, who informs Halley. Halley patches into the dead marine's feeds to witness the Yautja butchering Tew's corpse for a trophy.

The Yautja then later breaks through the room's ceiling and attacks. Just as the Yautja turns to attack Halley, one of the dying Marines sets off a grenade and the blast knocks Halley unconscious.

The Yautja takes heavy damage from the attack, but makes his way toward the Doyle, encountering Halley once again outside the airlock. The two face each other wearily, neither making a move to attack. Kalien calls to Halley from within the umbilical, asking if she has the data they have come to retrieve and making it clear he will not let her on board unless she does. Hearing him, the injured Yautja heads into the umbilical — as Kalien's hideous screams ring out, Halley throws a grenade into the passage and seals the airlock. The blast destroys the umbilical and sets the Doyle adrift.

The Ultimate Yautja is larger and stronger than a standard Yautja as it has taken DNA from other dangerous creatures and used it to alter it's genetics, enhancing its size and strength. It dwarfs the average hunter by 4 feet and outweighs it by 200-300 pounds.

Ultimate Yautja has bulletproof exo-skeletal skin that can reflect gunfire at close range. It can even shatter Wristblades that make forceful contact with its skin.

This biology may be due to the collaboration of several research-caste Yautja, explaining it's biology. Project Stargazer reveals that Fugitive Yautja had human DNA, meaning this is hybridizing is not unique to Ultimate Yautja.

History

fugitive In space, Ultimate Yautja is pursuing Fugitive who has stolen some technology from him. Ultimate Yautja severely damages Fugitive’s ship but he escapes by jumping into hyperspace. Fugitive’s ship crashes on Earth and is captured by a government agency.

Arriving in Earth's orbit, Ultimate Yautja scans for Fugitive. He immediately detects Rory McKenna, who is in his basement, and is playing with the wrist computer of the Fugitive's armor. Ultimate Yautja flies into Earth’s atmosphere and activates the ship’s cloaking mechanism. Rory inadvertently decloaks Ultimate Yautja’s ship using the wrist computer. Ultimate Yautja's ship appears on the military radar. Upgrade reactivates the cloak while the military sends some F-22’s to check out the anomaly.

rory Rory is still using the wrist computer and decloaks the ship again, this time in front of the F-22s who have to make a swift manoeuvre. Ultimate Yautja flies over the base where Fugitive is escaping while being pursued by two F-22s. The F-22 manage to attack but Ultimate Yautja fires off a blast which destroys one of the F-22s.

Ultimate Yautja lands his ship in the middle of a forest and exits the ship with two Yautja Dogs. He lets the dogs sniff a rag to track down the wrist computer. The Yautja Dogs attack Rory and The Loonies at the school and then Fugitive hunts Quinn and Rory inside of the school. As Fugitive throttles Quinn, Ultimate Yautja reaches through a window and drags Fugitive threw it. Ultimate Yautja changes his skin to give himself armour and asks Fugitive where the stolen technology is. Fugitive manages to fire a blast of his shoulder cannon towards Ultimate Yautja but misses. Fugitive then uses his wristblades which simply snap off against Ultimate Yautja’s tough armour. Ultimate Yautja quickly kills Fugitive and pulls off his head and spine.

Ultimate Yautja begins following McKenna and the Loonies, after witnessing their firefight with Stargazer, he tells them via a translater that he enjoyed watching them slaughter each other and will give them time advantage, which Casey tells the group that it means a "head start". The Loonies and Stargazer team up to try and kill it but all but Quinn Mckenna, his son Rory and Casey are killed by it. Ultimate Yautja is eventually killed after sustaining numerous injurious from bullet wounds, knife woulds and explosions.

The Loonies escape and Ultimate Yautja sends a transmission back to his clan informing them that Fugitive has been eliminated and he will track down the stolen cargo. His clan asks if there are any human leads and replies “Several”. Ultimate Yautja later arrives at Quinn’s residence, killing several government agents and scans the basement for clues. Rory has drawn a map to the location of Fugitive’s spaceship. The government agents make their way to Fugitive’s ship while the Loonies attempt to free Rory. Lynch is acting as the sniper for the team but Ultimate Yautja severs his arm with a plasma blast. Ultimate Yautja descends onto the site, killing many military personnel and enters the Fugitive’s ship.

pred cast The military have set up a translation device to interpret the Yautja language. The Ultimate Yautja uses this and tells the humans that he has come here to destroy this vessel and the humans should run. He says that he detects one among them who is a true Sain'ja (warrior) – the one called McKenna. The group initially think he’s talking about Quinn but instead it is his son Rory. The Ultimate Yautja gives the group a 7 1/2 minute head start to escape. Ultimate Yautja prepares the ship’s self destruct mechanism and exits the ship. He pursues the group into the forest while the ship explodes.

Ultimate Yautja catches up with the group, kills numerous military personnel and is seen in the trees biting the head off a soldier. He descends from the trees and attacks the group. He fires his wristblade at Casey who uses the Fugitive’s mask to deflect it. The masks falls to the ground and accidentally fires off a blast which hits Ultimate Yautja. Ultimate Yautja falls back into a trap the team had created which covers him in a highly flammable gas. Nebraska fires a shot, igniting the cloud of gas which sets Ultimate Yautja on fire. Baxley jumps onto Ultimate Yautja, stabbing him numerous times. Ultimate Yautja throws Baxley, impaling him on a tree branch while he fatally wounds Coyle. Ultimate Yautja falls off the edge and into the water. Ultimate Yautja then confronts the remaining survivors and takes Rory as a prisoner back to his ship.

casey As Ultimate Yautja is about to take off, Quinn, Nettles and Nebraska jump onto the ship. Ultimate Yautja activates the ship’s forcefield. Quinn hides underneath it while Nebraska jumps on top and unfortunately, Nettles his severed in half. Nebraska throws himself into one of the ship’s engines which causes it to explode sending the ship back to the surface. Quinn enters the ship and attacks Ultimate Yautja but Ultimate Yautja fires a harpoon weapon which restrains him. Quinn falls out of the ship and it crashes to the ground.

A badly injured Ultimate Yautja chases after Quinn. As he is about to kill him, a cloaked Casey appears behind him and jumps on him, firing multiple shots into Ultimate Yautja’s head. Quinn pushes him off the edge and he falls back towards his ship. Rory activates the ship’s forcefield which severs Ultimate Yautja’s right arm. As Ultimate Yautja attacks Quinn, the surviving Yautja Dog attacks Ultimate Yautja. Quinn manages to retrieve Ultimate Yautja’s severed arm and adds an explosive onto the wristblade. He fires a shot into Ultimate Yautja’s leg which explodes. Ultimate Yautja is fatally injured in the blast, losing all but one of his limbs. Quinn fires multiple shots into his head, killing him.

The Viking Yautja can be traced back to when the Viking raiders managed to draw the attention of the Yautja (as early as 804 AD). As the legends of this mighty creature spread, Norsemen saw an opportunity to gain an honorable death by way of this wanderer, so they continued to pursue glory. Few even relished over a Yautja death, which angered the Yautja, so they sent in their fiercest warrior – the Valkyrie. This newest Yautja class’ sole purpose is to choose the slain worthy of a place in Valhalla. Many fought against her in search of glory, but none could best her.

Along with her cunning, this hit and run Yautja carries with her a mighty two-handed Norse Hammer. This Hammer is the Yautja’s interpretation of Odin’s vision for superior god-like weaponry mixed with Yautja ancestry.

A clan's most seasoned close combat veterans become Vanguards. The Vanguard has both the honor and the responsibility of leading the clans melee assaults. Unlike other melee Yautja, the Vanguard is well armored and carries an advanced weapon of awesome potency: the plasma scythe.

Given its duty to lead the charge against even technically advanced enemies, the Vanguard requires a defensive system to protect against enemy fire. That system is the killscreen generator.

The Vanguard is best used to attack large or heavily armored targets like purebreed kiande amedha. Regardless of strength, no enemy can withstand four closely timed plasma scythe strikes. Hence, four Vanguards make for a particularly lethal heavy assault force, since they can kill any single enemy almost instantly. When upgraded, the Vanguard additionally becomes an excellent defensive choice, shielding other Yautja from enemy fire and even leaping Facehuggers.

While its weapon does massive damage, it is heavy and requires great effort and time to swing. As such, the Vanguard is ill-equipped to deal with large numbers of lighter fast-attack enemies. And though the killscreen is an excellent defensive mechanism, weapons with high fire rates or large projectiles can easily overwhelm it. In fact, combat shotguns and torrent cannons fire so many projectiles that the killscreen does not even attempt to counter them.

Hashori and Yaquita were female Yautja. Hashori was a fierce and aggressive member of the Widow Clan, battling both humans and kiande amedha with great anger. She took pleasure in torturing her enemies. Hashori tortured a female android with a whip that contains bug larva that hatched in the wounds. However, Hashori later joined forces with the android and humans against a common threat.

Yaquita was the only known Yautja to lose both legs and her companion to kiande amedha and survive. She was wheelchair-bound and acted more like a scientist than a warrior. She too joined forces with humans against the Rage offensive, and was much more level-headed than Hashori. She died protecting a ship bridge against the kiande amedha horde.

The first young blood wore a unique mask, similar to a human gas mask. The second was their leader, wearing a spiked medieval-looking armor and a more standard bio-mask than his first brother.

The three Yautja massacred a group of hunters in the park. When the Ancient caught up with them, the gas mask-wearing young blood was the first to die in battle. The secong young blood lasted the longest, losing his mask during the skirmish. This revealed his short and braided hairstyle.

Yeyinde, whose name meant "brave one," was known also by his nickname, Dachande - "Broken Tusk" - refering to his left lower tusk, broken in a bare-handed fist against a Queen. He was the son and grandson of ship leaders and Sain'ja (warrior) trainers. He bowed to no one in his skill with blade or burner. His training focused on blade and simple unarmed combat. Philosophy was not his bent.

In his pre-warrior days, he thought he had known everything, was the bravest Yautja ever born and ready to prove it at the slightest provocation. One instance, a younger male had glanced at him with what Yeyinde thought an inappropriate demeanor, had allowed that gaze to linger a quarter second longer than he deemed respectful. He stepped forward to issue a claw-challenge, but a female knocked him sprawling while going about her business. by the time he had recovered, both the female and the insolent youth were gone.

He was very intelligent, understanding humans and some of their language though he himself has never hunted humans. His trophy wall on the homeworld held six kiande amedha skulls, bleached and clean, including the Queen he had killed with his bare hands (and so got his nickname), taken in a hunt in which nine already-blooded Sain'ja (warriors) had died.

At his Blooding, his Leader was 'A'ni-de. He was hunting with his brother, Nei'hman'de. Yeyinde had killed two kiande amedha, but his brother was killed.

He had sired 73 suckers since becoming Blooded.

nedtesei Dachande commands the Yautja ship, Ne'dtesi, which is headed for Ryushi. He intends to lead several inexperienced un-Blooded hunters in their first Hunt. Arriving in orbit around Ryushi, the crew use Ovomorphs from a captive Queen held prisoner in the ship's hold to "seed" the planet with Kiande Amedha prey.

Unknown to them, the human rhynth-farming colony Prosperity Wells has been established on Ryushi since they last visited.

One of their member, Tichinde, assumes command of the group, killing his peer 'Aseigan when he protests, and elects that the inexperienced Yautja will attack the humans they now realize are on Ryushi, relishing the challenge.

Later, Dachande fought kiande amedha with the help of Machiko Noguchi. Finally, he fought a Queen but died of his wounds.

For centuries, the Yautja have had a presence on Earth and have quietly influenced Human history and culture. Worshiped as gods, these ancient Yautja taught humans how to construct pyramids and temples that served as ceremonial hunting grounds for young blood Yautja while hosting many dangerous prey. As tribute to their off-world dieties, the natives would sacrifice themselves for these hunts, voluntarily becoming breeding grounds for creatures such a skiande amedha.

Youngblood was the first to successfully defeat kiande amedha on Earth thousands of years ago. In his youth, the kiande amedha hunt was very experimental and ad only recently been implemented as a way to determine the strongest young hunters from each tribe. The initial trials prove too difficult and most of the Yautja attempting them were quickly killed. But Youngblood studied these creatures closely, and would eventually adapt to overtake them. Developing special stalking techniques, he not only survived his trial but managed to kill several kiande amedha, returning to his home world as an honored hero. Youngblood would go on to train the Yautja in the fine art of how to hunt kiande amedha.
