By 2192, Bionational had been aware of the kiande amedha's existence for some time. When the Coast Guard discovered the wreckage of the Junket, an arms race between Bionational and the military to get a kiande amedha for bio-weapon research was initiated. The company wasted no time and commenced Operation Outreach, which was aimed at intercepting the military expedition to the kiande amedha Homeworld. But the company had managed to retrieve the missing pilot pod of the Junket, complete with the impregnated navigator, James T. Likowski. Likowski was brought to the Houston facility to study the effects on the host. James then gave birth to a Queen. The Queen attacked the Project Leader with the assistant shooting and killing the scientist. The Queen stayed in the dead scientist's body and eventually molted into a Queen.

In the meantime, a Bionational representative teased the new bio-weapon technology at the San Diego Arms Fair, generating considerable interest.

The Queen was then brought to Lima, where it matured in a containment chamber. The leaking of information about the project caused Bionational's investment ratings to double on the global market. However, the kiande amedha scourge was freed from the laboratory due to an attack by a cult worshipping the creature. Despite meeting with the military to discuss containment options, the infestation spread like a wildfire, consuming mankind's homeworld during the so-called Earth War.

It is likely that the corporation did not survive the fallout of its actions.

TS-1 is a high-level clearance for documents of the Bionational corporation. Several documents surrounding Bionational's machinations during the prelude to the Earth War in 2192, including Internal Memorandum 385769.1 and Internal AV 42255-1, required a TS-1 clearance.

In 1930, Bruno Borgia was killed by the New Way Devil. Also, New Way Devil's self-destruct device destroyed much of the city. After the devastation, Bruno's family, Isabella and her newborn son Hunter, who were affected by the New Way Devil blood, used the New Way Devil technology he left behind to rally the survivors and spearhead the rebuilding of New Way City.

After 100 years, Hunter and Isabella aged, but their life-spans were unending, due to the effects of the Predator's blood. Hunter had a daughter, Lucretia, who aided him in the management of Neonopolis. The family used the tech to create advanced weaponry to capture Predators that came to the city to hunt. Hunter also managed to aquire Xenomorphs as a gift for Isabella. Borgia Industries opened up business relations with both Weyland Industries and Yutani Corporation, auctioning off the Predator tech under the name "Prometheus Tech". By 2030, Borgia Industries was one of the most successful companies on Earth.

As time went on, Borgia began to open dealership with the local street gangs, using them to sell their Prometheus tech to use for their gang warfare as well as luring predators throughout the urban areas. However, Hunter became obsessed with obtaining alien technology, leaving control of the city almost entirely to Lucretia. In 2030, the Yautja Scarface returned to the city to destroy the stolen tech. He wiped out the leaders of the street gangs and Borgia Industries security guards before he was captured by Borgia Industries. He escaped and hunted down the leaders of Borgia Industries. He followed Lucretia to the central Borgia building, killing hundreds of Borgia staff and soldiers before killing Isabella and dueling the genetically augmented Hunter on the roof of the tower.

Scarface defeated Hunter and took his skull as a trophy. When Scarface left Earth, an individual known as Mr. Weyland bought out the remains of Borgia Industries, merged his own company, Weyland Industries, with Yutani Corporation, creating Weyland-Yutani, and turned Lucretia Borgia, who had been wounded by her father in the battle, into the supercomputer known as MOTHER.

Borgia Industries was an American mega-corporation run by the ruthless Borgia family, who had ties to the mob. After the destruction of New Way City by the New Way Devil's self-destruct device, the Borgia Industries rose to rebuild the city, which was then renamed to Neonopolis. Using the technology the New Way Devil left behind, they make rapid advancements in their research.

When the New Way Devil returned, now called Scarface, he caused considerable destruction to Borgia Industries as most of its senior members were dead.

The company was bought out by Mr. Weyland, and based some of the Borgia technology to build the MOTHER computer.

A movement on Earth in the 2190s during the time when the planet was abandoned to the kiande amedha.

Bug Feeders abducted humans to offer them to the kiande amedha for impregnation, even going as far as laying ambushes and traps. Their motivations for this is unknown. It could be partly motivated by religious fanaticism or telepathically influenced by Queens.

The kiande amedha-related nightmares took its toll on the minds of Dreamers, humans susceptible to the telepathic signals of the kiande amedhas. This resulted of many of them going insane and joining Breeder cults.

By 2195, Breeders have become almost as big a threat to survivors as the kiande amedha. The cults also have become organized, going so far as commanding vessels and broadcasting their rituals. Some cults even practice cannibalism.

In 2195, Amy’s group was attacked again by Breeders in Northern California. Amy was abducted and brought to the underground tunnels beneath an Endotech Micro factory. When the Kurtz arrived with the Queen Mother, the Breeders followed the ship to Orona’s compound, taking Amy with them. After arriving at the compound, Ripley’s group was also attacked by Breeders, who tried to lure out the group by feigning an emergency. However, the group was able to fight off the ambush without casualties. The Breeders who were with Amy later landed near the base, but were all killed by the kiande amedha onslaught. Amy miraculously survived and was later rescued by Ripley and Billie.

The CIA was created in 1947 with the signing of the National Security Act by President Harry S. Truman. The act also created a Director of Central Intelligence (DCI) to serve as head of the United States intelligence community; act as the principal adviser to the President for intelligence matters related to the national security; and serve as head of the Central Intelligence Agency. The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 amended the National Security Act to provide for a Director of National Intelligence who would assume some of the roles formerly fulfilled by the DCI, with a separate Director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

By 2007, the CIA is an independent agency responsible for providing national security intelligence to senior US policymakers. The Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (D/CIA) is nominated by the president with the advice and consent of the Senate. The Director manages the operations, personnel, and budget of the Central Intelligence Agency.

The CIA is separated into five basic components: the Directorate of Operations, the Directorate of Analysis, the Directorate of Science & Technology, the Directorate of Support, and the Directorate of Digital Innovation. They carry out “the intelligence cycle,” the process of collecting, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence information to top US government officials.

In addition, the D/CIA has several staffs that deal with public affairs, human resources, protocol, congressional affairs, legal issues, information management, and internal oversight.

The CIA's primary mission is to collect, evaluate, and disseminate foreign intelligence to assist the president and senior US government policymakers in making decisions relating to the national security. The CIA does not make policy; it is an independent source of foreign intelligence information for those who do. The CIA may also engage in covert action at the president's direction in accordance with applicable law.

There are many jobs that require a wide variety of specialties. Among them: operations officer working overseas recruiting foreign agents, intelligence analyst writing intelligence reports on Russian strategic nuclear forces or Middle Eastern terrorism, information officer looking for new technologies applicable to the CIA , or a security officer.

After arriving at the scene, Fire Team Fox was deployed aboard the Sulaco, with its mission objective to track down a single life signal which had been picked up by an advance team. During this mission, the team also located a terminal and made advanced exploration of the Sulaco possible by syncing the computer systems of the two ships.

cameron johnston Soon after, Fire Team Fox found the source of the signal, which turned out to be a UPP soldier named Eva. However, securing the person was thwarted when the kiande amedha aboard the ship revealed themselves and started to attack throughout the ship. Fire Team Fox was in close pursuit of Eva, following her into the Hive, where the team fought and defeated the Queen. Shortly after the confrontation, the team caught up with the fugitive and successfully extracted her to the Sephora.

Following intel provided by Eva, the Sephora traveled to LV-426 to interfere in the UPP's plan to harvest the Ovomorphs. Fire Team Fox infiltrated the UPP compound and successfully sabotaged gun emplacements and a radar station. When the situation grew tense, the team was forced to divert to a secondary extraction point at the Derelict aboard a hijacked APC. Due to damage taken from the chasing kiande amedha, the APC crashed into the pilot chamber of the vessel. There, Fire Team Fox encountered the monstrous kiande amedha that had once hatched from the Derelict's pilot, the Space-Jockey kiande amedha. After the creature was killed, the team returned to the Sephora.

In the meantime, Steele had uncovered a conspiracy involving Weyland-Yutani and backers at the USCM to use the kiande amedha as bio-weapons and decided to launch an unofficial mission to prevent this from happening. When he asked Fire Team Fox to participate, it followed without hesitation and began its mission aboard the Sulaco. Despite Weyland-Yutani's attempts to exert pressure, Fire Team Fox proceeded to investigate the cargo of Ovomorphs belonging to the Company and found out that the cargo had escaped and that another infestation was underway.

After the team had discovered and eliminated the Queen, it landed on Phobos to investigate the Weyland-Yutani research station there, the place for which the Sulaco's cargo was intended. The team discovered that the Company had conducted breeding experiments with kiande amedha for several years, only to lose control and be killed at the hands of the escaped specimens.

Fire Team Fox undertook several attempts to stop the Sulaco from reaching its destination near Mars, only to be foiled by Davis. Eventually, Fire Team Fox confronted Davis in the ventral cargo bay. Suddenly, the Empress that had taken control of the kiande amedha population on the vessel appeared and killed Davis. A dramatic battle between the marines and the huge creature ensued, during which an explosion ruptured the hull and threw the Sulaco off course. The Empress eventually collapsed under the combined firepower, and Fire Team Fox returned to the Sephora which then withdrew from the scene.

The final fate of the members of Fire Team Fox is unknown.

As Dr Caspar Tellurian explains it, the Geholgod is a scientific venture existing in the shadows of the conglomerates. They are dedicated to the belief that research in the name of pure science is still a worthwhile pursuit.

There was a paleontological dig led by Dr Kucien Keitel deep within Australia's great sandy desert where a team funded by Geholgod discovered a strata of shale that predated by a billion years the oldest previously known formations. It was etched with unnervingly abundant traces of life.

When the Geholgod came into possession of Tirgu-Mires, Geholgod sent Doctors Nix and Pho on the "Tirgu-Mires Project" to study and evaluate a secluded hive of kiande amedha.

Next, Geholgod pressed on with the "Mandala Directive," spearheaded by Keitel. In 2137, Keitel was in the envious position of consulting to Weyland-Yutani. So placed, he was able to gain access to certain highly classified files, which he brought to the Geholgod. He uncovered information about the Nostromo, 20 years ago, and how they encountered a space-faring craft of non-terrestrial origin in the Zeta 2 Reticuli system. The discovery of this long dead derelict galvanized the conglomerate. They're like flies all over that sector now, but their motives are small. Keitel saw the big picture. Armed with his resources, the Geholgod undertook its own astronomical search.

Keitel's team discovered an object orbiting a planet in the Shambleau System. Its broadcasting spectrum matched that of the Weyland-Yutani derelict perfectly.

The Grant Organization was a large, multifaceted interplanetary corporation located on Earth. It had a meteoric rise after Earth was cleared of the infestation of kiande amedha. It gained profits from kiande amedha research, producing items like acid-resistant armor, plasma weapons and xeno-zip drugs. The company was headed by Daniel Grant, a womanizer with a lavish lifestyle. After running out of money and getting in trouble with both the law and the mob, Grant escaped on a mission to kiande amedha Prime to acquire more Royal Jelly for the company. Although suffering some losses in personnel, the mission was successful and Grant actually had a change of heart. He became a more moral person after the traumatic events and tried to change the company for the better as well.

Loki

orig sin
  • Aliens: Original Sin. Michael Jan Friedman, DH Press, October 2005. Print.

At an unknown date in human history, mankind made first contact with a technologically advanced race called the Space Jockey. In order to ensure a peaceful coexistence between the two races, EarthGov founded the Loki organization as a liaison to the Space Jockey. Its existence as well as that of the Space Jockey was kept a secret from the rest of humanity, and Loki itself was conceived to be situated outside the governmental structure so that EarthGov could disassociate from its dealings.

Over the years, Loki's role expanded to that of a negotiator for various transactions and dealings with the alien race.

The first major one of those deals occurred in 2121, when EarthGov sought an effective means of fighting political dissidents. Loki approached the Space Jockey with this matter, and a deal was struck: In exchange for mankind giving up the world of Bahgreb, the Space Jockey provided Loki with the coordinates of the Derelict on LV-426, where they knew that numerous Ovomorphs still existed, which would suit the need of EarthGov to breed an effective biological weapon. Loki in turn relayed these coordinates to a close business partner of the government, Weyland-Yutani, who subsequently inserted an android agent called Ash into the crew of one of their cargo haulers, the Nostromo, who would take measures to redirect the ship and secure a kiande amedha specimen. The plan was eventually foiled by Ripley.

During the next 250 years, Loki continued to exist in secret, managing to survive such major events as the Earth War and the downfall of Weyland-Yutani. During this time, Loki was responsible for keeping every contact of mankind with the kiande amedha a secret, possibly even arranging the banning of records about the creatures like Morse's account on Fiorina 161.

call ripley8 However, during the Auton Purge, Annalee Call hacked into the mainframe of the Ministry of Defense shortly before she left Earth, discovering hints to the Loki organization and its connection to the kiande amedha organism. After she and Ripley8 had survived the kiande amedha outbreak aboard the USM Auriga in 2381, they vowed to continue their fight and prevent humanity from getting their hands on the kiande amedha. Their first step would be to track down Loki and stop the organization.

Meanwhile, Loki tracked down other Autons who had escaped the purge and placed them under its control, creating a group of covert agents for its cause.

It took several years for Ripley8, Call and the crew of the Betty to catch up with Loki and its plans. Eventually, the group found out about the most recent deal between Loki and the Space Jockey. In exchange for the permission to exploit a world rich in minerals under Space Jockey control, Loki agreed to provide human-bred kiande amedha for the alien race, which needed the creatures to combat its infertility. Loki chose the botanic space station Domes Epsilon as the target and inserted the android agent Earl Cody into the station's staff.

Later, a second agent posing as a freighter pilot inserted an Ovomorph into Domes Epsilon together with several adult kiande amedha genetically engineered by Space Jockey. Loki had also become aware of the danger the crew of the Betty posed and sent a small attack vessel to intercept the ship on its way to Domes Epsilon. The objective of the strike team was to board the Betty and secure information about the extent of Loki's information leak, either by capturing the crew or securing the board computer.

betty After entering the Betty, the team was quickly overwhelmed by Ripley8 and the others. Having failed the mission, the fail-safe protocol was enacted, killing the members of the strike force and destroying its ship before the crew of the Betty could learn more about its assailants. Ripley8 and the others eventually arrived at Domes Epsilon, but were too late to stop the infestation. Still, Loki's plan was foiled as the crew of the Betty managed to destroy the station together with all kiande amedha aboard.

For the operation, Bionational hired a freelancer named Patrick Massey, who would act as the de-facto leader of the mission.

On April 5, 2192, Operation Outreach launched aboard the Bionational vessel K-014 and took up pursuit of the Benedict unnoticed. During travel, an inside man, the Benedict 's captain Colonel Stephens, secretly updated Massey about the mission's status. In orbit of the kiande amedha Homeworld, Stephens killed the Benedict 's pilot and enabled Massey and his forces to land aboard the ship. Massey quickly took control of the vessel, and his forces managed to capture almost the entire crew – save for a female civilian named Billie, who went into hiding. After killing Stephens because he considered him a liability, Massey ordered his troops to land on the surface and to use the Benedict 's marines as bait in order to capture a kiande amedha embryo. The troops landed near a large Hive structure and “herded” the marines into the Hive from the safety of their floaters.

The mercenaries on the floaters were attacked and decimated by indigenous flying creatures. Additionally, the Ovomorphs inside the Hives did not react to the marines as they were revealed to be androids. Massey himself met his demise when Billie emerged from hiding and killed him.

These events effectively caused the complete failure of Operation Outreach.

Project Prometheus

References
weyland
  • Weyland Timeline. WeylandIndustries.com, Web.
  • Prometheus. 20th Century Fox, June 8, 2012. Movie.

A blanket term for multiple projects regarding the exploration of extraterrestrial life undertaken by Weyland Industries. Originally a NASA project aimed at researching nuclear fission as a means for spacecraft propulsion. The technology from Project Prometheus was intended to power the JIMO probe, but the project was canceled in 2005. However, Weyland Industries later acquired technology from the project in 2017 and revived and completed the JIMO project.

Under the personal guidance of Sir Peter Weyland, it became a long-term investment, with a new objective reflecting Weyland's ever-growing ambitions to explore the universe and find the origin of mankind.

The Agility Assessment (A1) is a test of the Project Prometheus Training Program. The first of five tests in total and of two tests evaluating the physical capabilities of an applicant, Agility Assessment consisted of a basic obstacle course where the participant had to run at high speed while dodging numerous objects.

In the early 2070s, Weyland scientists discovered undisclosed clues hinting at extraterrestrial involvement in the creation of life on Earth. These clues were spectacular enough to warrant a relaunch of Project Prometheus, starting with a new round of fund-raising and mission planning in 2073.

Five years later, on August 1, 2078, Weyland Industries learned of the scientific work of Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, which happened to explore the same questions and notions as Project Prometheus. Weyland was convinced that Shaw may have found the missing piece of information that had eluded his scientists and sent a representative to Toro Muerto, Peru, to meet Shaw and her partner Charlie Holloway, granting her research financial support and putting Weyland Industries' equipment at their disposal. This launched a sub-project called Project Genesis, an exploration of ancient artifacts that spanned the whole globe, during which the two scientists worked closely with a Weyland Industries representative, who contributed his own considerable scientific skills. Soon, the team discovered a pictogram that was common to all artifacts and which seemed to indicate the constellation of a star system.

One year later, Shaw had amassed enough data to believe that she had discovered the location of mankind's true origin on LV-223 in the Zeta 2 Reticuli system and contacted Weyland with the request of funding an expedition in order to prove her theories. In late 2079, Shaw and Holloway entered a contract with Weyland Industries, which included full access to Weyland's resources and an intergalactic mission to the star system they had identified.

In late 2080, Project Genesis was officially concluded, and Project Prometheus entered its third phase. For the expedition, Weyland Industries chose its new FTL-capable research vessel, the USCSS Prometheus. During the following years of preparations, Shaw and Holloway continued their research for additional information, culminating in the exploration of cave paintings on the Island of Skye, Scotland, in 2089.

In 2091, preparations were finally finished. At this point, Weyland Industries had invested one trillion dollars, outfitting the Prometheus with extensive research equipment and a crew consisting of a staff of 17 scientists, pilots, workers and security officers. Company representative Meredith Vickers joined the mission to act as a supervisor, while the ex-military pilot Janek was assigned as the captain of the vessel. The science division consisted of Shaw, Holloway, biologist Millburn and geologist Fifield. Two RT01 Group Transports were loaded into the cargo bay for ground missions, in addition to several ATV vehicles. The Prometheus itself contained a lifeboat section, which acted as Vickers' personal quarters, but also hid a cryosleep chamber for Peter Weyland, who had secretly joined the expedition in order to find a cure for his rapidly failing health.

On July 6, 2091, the Prometheus departed Earth and Jumped to lightspeed for its destination. On December 21, 2093, the vessel reached the target system. The mission failed, and the vessel and almost all hands were lost.

Headed by General Douglas Woodhurst, this was top-secret CIA program, it was formed out of OWLF with a bigger budget and personnel size, and as such their task remains with capturing a live Yautja specimen for study.

The Stargazer field team was headed by Will Traeger, who shot his own head off with a shoulder cannon. Also part of Stargazer was Shawn Keyes, a scientist and son of the late Peter Keyes (head of OWLF).

Project Stargazer successfully captured 2 Predators but both of them escaped soon after. They were also in possession of some Yautja tech, that was later reclaimed by Fugitive. However, it seemed their budget and personnel size were much bigger than for OWLF.

The Rage began as the Founders, a group of intellectual humans whose advanced scientific experiments — including genetic sampling, quantum quantification, multiverse balancing and quark replacement therapy — drew scorn from the rest of humanity. Faced with this persecution, the Founders exiled themselves from known space at the turn of the 25th century, seeking discovery and a better life far away from the influence of the rest of mankind. They departed the Human Sphere aboard three ships, Hamlet, Othello and Macbeth, each carrying a thousand occupants; although Hamlet was lost on the initial journey from the Human Sphere, the two remaining vessels and their two thousand occupants began their long voyage of discovery out into uncharted, unpopulated space. For some time, the group existed in something approaching the utopia they had sought, under the guidance of their leader, Wordsworth.

Although new members were born aboard Othello and Macbeth, the original Founders eventually began to grow old and die. Wordsworth himself was nearing the end of his life, even with the tremendous advances in medical care the Founders had discovered. It was then that the group located a gel-like substance on a distant planet that seemed to be capable of halting or even reversing the ageing process. This gel was quickly adapted as a medicine to save the ailing Founders, and prolonged their natural lives far beyond that of a normal human.

Some time later, the group made more incredible discoveries aboard an artificial planetoid found to have originally been constructed by the now long-dead Drukathi; the Founders dubbed the satellite "Midsummer". There they uncovered the creatures' incredibly advanced biotechnologies, many of which were reverse-engineered and adapted by the Founders. They also discovered the Faze, strange creatures that were responsible for the construction of Midsummer itself, even now continuing to expand the planetoid. But perhaps the most important discovery of all lay deep within Midsummer — kiande amedha, laying dormant and waiting.

The discovery of the kiande amedha was to be the trigger for Beatrix Maloney's takeover of the Founders. While Wordsworth insisted it was a sign they should leave Midsummer for good, Maloney harbored her own dark plans for the creatures, and when Wordsworth would not agree with her vision, she murdered him in secret. Installing herself as the new leader of the exiles, Maloney renamed them the Rage and immediately had the kiande amedha brought aboard for study, basing their research on data originally stolen from Weyland-Yutani by Liliya hundreds of years before. Under Maloney's leadership, the Rage abandoned their onward journey of exploration and discovery in favor of returning to the Human Sphere and taking revenge on the former persecutors. At their leader's insistence, the Faze were also brought aboard Othello and Macbeth, whereupon they began to automatically repair and upgrade the ships, despite failing to respond to any and all attempts at communication.

After many years of preparation, during which time the kiande amedha were successfully subjugated and placed under the total control of the Rage's android generals, Maloney began her war of vengeance. A fleet of Fiennes colony ships, originally sent out from the Human Sphere before even the Founders departed on their journey, were rounded up and captured, their sleeping occupants used as nurseries for the Rage's Xenomorph soldiers. Maloney sent transmissions ahead of her advance, activating sleeper agents within the Human Sphere who carried out devastating terrorist attacks on targets across human space. The Rage also unleashed their kiande amedha army on the Yautja, testing their creations in battle before the assault on the Human Sphere began.

They did actually capture that Yautja successfully while losing 2 members of their team. The Yautja escaped, but it wasn't the team's fault.

Later, the 4 surviving members hunted the Yautja down in a Florida ferry ground during a tornado while ignoring orders from Stargazer. The Yautja was killed and 2 members of the team survived, although they were gravely wounded.

A top-secret directive issued by Weyland-Yutani in 2121 in their efforts to secure a kiande amedha specimen from the Derelict on LV-426 using the Nostromo and its crew.

After Weyland-Yutani had learned of the existence of the Derelict through its connection to the Loki organization, it inserted the android Ash into the crew of a cargo hauler of Weyland-Yutani, the Nostromo, which was scheduled to pass the Zeta II Reticuli system – where LV-426 was located – on its journey back to Earth. After Ash's insertion, Weyland-Yutani sent Special Order 937 to his personal account for the Nostromo's computer, MOTHER. The order commanded Ash to alter the ship's course so that it would pass near enough to LV-426 to pick up the distress signal of the Derelict, obtain a kiande amedha specimen and ensure its survival until it could be secured by Weyland-Yutani personnel. Further parameters for this operation classified the crew of the Nostromo as expendable.

Ash was ultimately unable to fulfill Special Order 937 due to the interference of Ellen Ripley, who discovered the truth about Ash's assignment and managed to incapacitate him and destroy the kiande amedha.

Strikeforce is a branch of the military that assigns elite groups of soldiers and investigators to locate and eliminate alien threats.

Mission: Reclaim Salazar VII, the once-thriving colony world overrun with kiande amedha. It's not a complicated proposition: three hives, sporadic infestations planetwide.

The Strikeforce team introduced and dispensed a little concoction called "The Juice," essentially bug spray, which is completely toxic to the creatures and somehow turns their metabolisms against them, so they're eaten alive by their own systems. The fumes alone will do the job. Direct contact is unnecessary, but it does drive the creatures insane before they expire. The Salazarian atmosphere was changing and the oxygen content was soaring. The Juice reacted to this change and became highly volatile, taking most of the Strikeforce team with it. Anyone who might have survived was easy pickings for the creatures.

Over the years the Templars rose from their humble beginnings to become the wealthiest of the Crusading Orders – eventually garnering the favour of the Church and the collective European monarchs. However, after two centuries of defending the Christian faith, the Order met its demise when Philip IV – known as Philip le Belle (the Fair) – sought to destroy the Templars.

A socialist faction of human civilization active during the second half of the 22nd century. By the end of the 2170s, the UPP had claimed a large portion of colonized space. It also had a considerable military force at its disposal, consisting of infantry, combat androids, prefab bases, military transport vessels and at least one heavy battle cruiser. While the US-controlled civilization was not in open conflict with the UPP, the relationship was tense, similar to the Cold War in the 20th century. At an unknown point in time, a treaty had been formed that prohibits armed vessels from crossing over into the other party's territory to ensure a tenuous peace. One notable difference in politics was that, unlike the United States, the UPP does not grant synthetics citizenship rights and instead regarded them as machines.

One notable military conflict between the USCM and the UPP took place in the wake of the Hadley's Hope incident in 2179. The UPP located the US vessel and sent a small scouting party to investigate. The team was supported by a contingent of combat androids and were led by an operative named Eva. The ship inserted the team onto the Sulaco and retreated to a safe distance in order to avoid detection. The team eventually stumbled upon Bishop's cryotube and extracted data regarding the Hadley's Hope incident from him, sending it over to the UPP for analysis, which, seeing the potential of the kiande amedha as a bio-weapon, sent a sizable military force to LV-426 to establish a presence and harvest Ovomorphs from the Derelict.

However, while the scouting party were still investigating, a Weyland-Yutani vessel named Legato docked to the Sulaco. The kiande amedha infestation on the Legato quickly spread over to the Sulaco and decimated the UPP party, leaving Eva as the only survivor, who went into hiding. Meanwhile, the US military also learned of the Sulaco's whereabouts and sent an advance team to secure the location. The team picked up Eva's life signal and reported it back. A full investigation by the USCM soon followed, and it was Fire Team Fox which received the task of locating the single life signal. The team eventually managed to capture Eva, and the subsequent interrogation revealed the UPP's operation on LV-426 to the USCM.

In the meantime, the UPP had erected a large prefab military outpost near the Derelict. However, due to the carelessness of the personnel, a kiande amedha infestation was already spreading through the ventilation systems. Soon after, the USCM launched a large-scale assault on the outpost involving air and ground forces. Amidst the mayhem, the kiande amedha also began to openly attack the UPP soldiers. These two circumstances contributed to the complete destruction of the outpost.

Weyland-Yutani

Weyland-Yutani was one of the preeminent Corporations of the early days of space exploration, and still produces some of the finest high-technology equipment in the ICC. It was once a partner of Hyperdyne, but Hyperdyne betrayed Weyland-Yutani's interests and sabotaged several of its exploration craft. Weyland-Yutani was badly disrupted by this, and lost its opportunity to lead the discovery of new worlds.

After losing for several decades, Weyland-Yutani gathered its resources to take control of the world of Relitor, which it renamed after itself. This put Weyland-Yutani directly on Hyperdyne's route to Earth and the rest of the ICC, and allowed it to take some measure of revenge in the form of legal harassment and increased tariffs and taxes. To combat these obstacles, Hyperdyne was forced to develop new routes for its commerce. The routes include the Hilo - New Eden link, and the long, desolate trip from New Chicago to Honeycomb. Today, Weyland-Yutani and Hyperdyne are still somewhat hostile to each other, but there has been no traceable violence for many years. They even cooperate on control of the Arcturus Loop.

c2137, Keitel was in the envious position of consulting to Weyland-Yutani.

At present, the world of Weyland-Yutani has a full range of industry and space manufacturing facilities, and the cooperative ventures between Aerodyne and Weyland-Yutani are the largest manufacturers of commercial spacecraft in the ICC. They also produce the ships for the Colonial Marine Corps, and use this as leverage in their control of the Arcturus Loop.

They were eventually bought out by Wal-Mart.

The Japanese police, and media by request of the police, call them boryokudan ("violent groups"), while the yakuza call themselves "ninkyo dantai" ("chivalrous organizations"). The yakuza are notorious for their strict codes of conduct and organized fiefdom-nature. They have a large presence in the Japanese media and operate internationally with an estimated 102,000 members.

Yutani Corporation was a Japanese corporation that originated in the 21st century.

The CEO, Yutani, acquired from Colonel Stevens a Yautja Plasma Pistol originally from Wolf, who arrived on Earth in 2004 to clean up the kiande amedha infestation in Gunnison, Colorado and she utilized it to advance human technology.

By 2030, Yutani Corporation was known to do business with Borgia Industries.

On December 12, 2029, the Yutani Corporation filed a lawsuit against Weyland Industries over a patent dispute with the David series. Weyland Industries won the lawsuit.

At some point prior to 2099, there was a report of a company merger between Yutani and Templin, forming Yutani-Templin. However, the exact nature of the company is never revealed.

Sometime after Project Prometheus and the death of Peter Weyland in 2099, Weyland Industries supposedly acquired the Yutani Corporation in a hostile takeover, thus forming the Weyland-Yutani Corporation. This was, however, an inaccurate entry in the Weyland-Yutani Report of 2381, as it was actually the Yutani Corporation under Hideo Yutani's leadership that conducted a corporate takeover of Weyland Industries.

Zulu Team was a squad of Colonial Marines deployed to BG-386 from the USS Marlow, dispatched in response to a kiande amedha outbreak at the Freya's Prospect colony and the nearby Weyland-Yutani facility. Zulu team is larger than Charlie and Echo Teams.

Members were: Danone, Heath, Hennessy, Roper, Moss, Custer

Following the crash of Typhoon and Tequila's capture by Xenomorphs, Zulu Team began scouring the Yautja ruins on BG-386 for the Corporal's location, hoping to rescue her before she could be impregnated with a Chestburster. They were joined by Typhoon's pilot, Connor, who had survived the crash. The squad's radio operator also made attempts to contact other survivors in the area and rally them to their position, but was hampered in this regard by faulty equipment.

While the squad searched the ruins, they were discovered by Dark, who was passing through the area in search of ancient Yautja technology that had been stolen by Weyland-Yutani research personnel. The Yautja took the opportunity to pick the Marines off one by one before moving on.

Several Marines survived Dark's rampage and later met up with Rookie, who had made his way to the Typhoon crash site with the intention of rescuing Tequila. After fighting off a large swarm of kiande amedha, Danone and Roper remained behind to hold the crash site and wait for other survivors, while Rookie and Connor moved deeper into the ruins, witnessing another remaining member of Zulu Team being killed by a Young Blood Yautja that was still on the planet. Connor was later dragged away by kiande amedha, while Rookie went on to discover several members of Zulu Squad cocooned in a small Hive nearby, having fallen victim to Chestbursters.
