ripley 57 years after Ellen Ripley encountered the kiande amedha on the Nostromo, the Narcissus, Ripley, and Jonsey were recovered by a deep space salvage team.

June 8, 2179.

The salvage team arrived at Gateway Station orbiting Earth where Ripley was put into medical care for recovery. It was during her four-day recuperation that Ripley met Carter J Burke, a representative of Weyland-Yutani been sent to assist Ripley. It is during this time that learns she was asleep for nearly 6 decades.

June 10, 2179. Morning.

Capt Demian Brackett arrives to take over command of the marine contingent at Hadley's Hope. He runs into his old girlfriend, Ann Jorden, and her husband Russ.

June 10, 2179. Afternoon.

Simpson Brackett and some of his marines are involved in a hostage situation at an Atmosphere Processor out-station where colonist Otto Finch snaps after years of enduring the harsh environment of LV-426. He and his brother Curtis are killed in the incident and processor six overheats and explodes. Later Brackett tells Administrator Al Simpson and Dr Bartholemew Reese that the standard practice of marines accompanying colonist expeditions is to immediately cease until he can confirm the order from headquarters.

Ripley is discharged from the Gateway Station hospital. An inquiry with the ICC was then held aboard Gateway, where Ripley, having waited in the next room using an HES, presented an account on the Nostromo. As there was no hard evidence for the existence of the kiande amedha, the inquiry dismissed Ripley's story and revoked her flight officer's license while refraining from filing charges. She takes up residence aboard Gateway, working in the docks operating power loaders.

Following the enquiry, Burke retrieved the coordinates of the Derelict on LV-426 from the inquiry protocol and provides Hadley's Hope with the co-ordinates to the Derelict spacecraft on LV-426. It takes one week for transmission to reach LV-426, now named Acheron, which had been set up on the planetoid during the previous decades.

June 19, 2179.

Simpson and Lydecker talk about sending Russ and Ann Jorden out Burke’s co-ordinates.

June 21, 2179.

R Jorden A Jorden Russ and Ann Jorden are allowed to investigate the set of grid co-ordinates beyond the Ilium Range, with their children, Timmy and Rebecca. They discover the Derelict where Russ is attacked by a Facehugger and impregnated with an embryo.

June 22, 2179. Morning.

T Jorden Newt The colony administration received a distress call from Ann Jorden, and subsequently, Brackett and a marine squad pickup the Jordens from the Derelict and take them back to the colony. By the evening, Brackett, the marines and Jorden family arrive back at Hadley's Hope. Russ was brought back to the colony and placed under medical care. In the meantime, another search party of colonists went to the Derelict to look for information.

June 23, 2179. Afternoon.

Kent Aaron overheard his parents talking about the fact that Russ had woken up. He quickly went to Timothy and Newt, asking them to come with him to the medbay where Russ was, and after a short argument where Newt pointed out that her mom had ordered them to stay inside the compound, Aaron and Timmy convinced her to join them. Using the vents to spy on Newt's parents in the medbay with Dr Kent. The siblings were horrified to witness Russ giving birth to a Chestburster, around the same time that the search party returned with thirteen more infected colonists.

Draper Drapers led an armed scouting party to locate the kiande amedha Hive while the other colonists erected a fortified shelter at the sub-level of the colony. The team eventually found the Hive inside the substructure of the nearby Atmospheric Processor. However, the nest's population was much larger than they thought. Upon encountering the creatures, they were ordered to back out of the confrontation and return to Command Post. However, the gunfire only attracted more kiande amedha. The kiande amedha slaughtered Drapers's men and women and departed for the colony in en masse.

June 23, 2179. Evening.

Colonists begin to die and disappear while search parties scour the complex for the kiande amedha. Brackett, Sgt Marvin Draper and Pvt Ankita Yousseff manage to kill one, as more Chestbursters are born in the medlab.

June 25, 2179. Morning.

More kiande amedha are hatched as the mature creatures attack medlab.

June 25, 2179. Afternoon.

hadleys hope One last message reached Hadley's Hope that marines would come to investigate and assist. Another search party had gone out to locate the Hive and found it at the Atmospheric Processor, shortly before the retreat to the sub-level was to take place. The party, including Simpson, was quickly decimated, but as the communication to the team went silent, the sensors showed that the search party had stirred up the kiande amedha, which were now approaching the colony in full force. Upon receiving the news, the colonists wasted no time and hurried to the sub-level storage areas of Hadley's Hope D Block until help would arrive.

Meanwhile, Voss and Jex set down on a small moon in pursuit of two deadly escaped convicts, the sociopathic mass-murderer Enzo Jaeger and the mentally impared, psychotically violent Jack Bates. Voss and Jex correctly assume Jaeger and Bates are making for the small nearby colony, Hadley's Hope, in the hope of acquiring a ship capable of interstellar travel. In fact, Jaeger has an acquaintance at the colony, a man named Lupo, and hopes to convince him to let them take a vessel.

However, when Jaeger and Bates reach Hadley's Hope they find it eerily quiet, with signs of violence in the vehicle garage that they access. Someone inside contacts them via the colony's announcement system, having spotted them on the surveillance cameras and warms them of a terrible danger at the settlement, refusing to let them inside and suggesting they flee while they can.

Voss and Jex arrive and a shootout ensues. However, during the confrontation, a pair of kiande amedha emerge from the shadows in the garage and also attack the group. Suddenly, Bates — who has long insisted he was subjected to terrible experimentation while incarcerated by pharmaceutical giant MetCon — undergoes a mutation as a result of his terror and rage, transforming into a brutish, red giant with impossible strength. The transformed Bates attacks one of the kiande amedha, saving Jaeger's life and beating the creature to death. The other kiande amedha badly damages Jex, tearing off one of his legs, before turning towards Voss. Bates tackles the creature and the two tumble away.

Voss shoots Jaeger in the leg to incapacitate him and holds him at gunpoint. Bates reappears, having killed the second kiande amedha and returned to his human form, bloodied but alive. However, when Voss insults his mother and Bates' cannibalistic murder of her, he again flies into a rage and transforms. Before he can launch himself at Voss, Jaeger shoots him dead. He goes on to emotionally point out that he has just killed his only friend in order to save Voss's life and implores her to at least give him a chance to escape in return. Voss, unflinching, shoots him dead.

As Voss prepares to carry the damaged Jex back to her ship, the occupants of Hadley's Hope begin screaming in terror and begging for assistance over the announcement system as they are attacked from within, but she coldly tells Jex it's "not our problem". The pair return to their ship, taking a finger from both Jaeger and Bates as proof of their bounty.

Brackett learns from a dying Dr Elena Hidalgo, that the science staff have a secret escape ship at the colony. Ann Jorden, her children, and number of other colonists seek shelter in the Surveyor Ops Centre, which is smaller, and easier to defend.

At this point, concerned for her children, Ann Jorden obtains a pistol, to help her protect her children.

Badly injured, Draper reaches the Surveyor Ops Centre and demands to be let in. Unseen by him, the kiande amedha followed Draper to the barricade. When the colonists heard gunfire outside the shelter, they lowered the barricade after a heated argument, only to watch Drapers' mangled body drop dead in front of them. The kiande amedha to swarm inside, attacking the colonists.

Just as Ann prepared to shoot her children rather than them be slaughtered or captured by the kiande amedha, Newt suggests they escape into the air ducts. As she shoves them inside, a kiande amedha grabs her away. Tim races back out and grabs his mother's falen gun to try to save her. However, he is splashed by its acid blood, and then is promptly killed by another kiande amedha. Initially, Newt is stunned, angry that her mother broke her promise to never leave her, but with oncoming kiande amedha she races through the ucts, with only her size saving her, as she can fit into places the kiande amedha cannot fit.

Brackett, Lt Julisa Paris, Dr Mori and a young girl named Luisa escape Hadley's Hope in the science teams hidden ship.

Newt is left alone.

July 3, 2179.

Colonial Administration loses contact with Hadley's Hope. At first, the plan of the colonists seemed to work. But when noises were heard from outside, an argument erupted about what they should do. One faction believed that the noises came from the remnants of the team sent to locate the Hive and that the barricade should be lowered while the other faction wanted the barricade to remain closed in order to protect the colonists inside. Eventually, the former faction won out, and the barricade was opened, only to fall right into a trap set by the kiande amedha, which overrun the sub-level and massacred the civilians inside. During the attack, Rebecca 'Newt' Jorden lost both her mother and her brother, but managed to escape into the vent system of the colony. While Newt was able to survive inside the ducts, the colony ceased to exist: Every other colonist was either killed or brought to the Hive for impregnation.

ripley burke gorman Now forced to take Ripley's story into account as a possibility, a military reconnaissance mission was assembled to be sent to LV-426 to investigate the communication breakdown. For this mission, Lieutenant Gorman was given command of a squad of USCM from the 2nd Battalion, 9th Regiment. Ripley was approached to take part in the mission as an adviser in exchange for having her license restored, and, after initially refusing, agreed to join. Burke, who was sent to supervise the mission on behalf of Weyland-Yutani, which had considerable financial investment in the colony, was also part of the roster.

July 6, 2179.

Ripley reluctantly agrees to accompany Burke and a Colonial Marine squad of 2nd Battalion, 9th Regiment to Acheron to investigate on board the the Conestoga-class space transport USS Sulaco.

July 26, 2179.

The last pockets of resistance at Hadley's Hope are over-run by the kiande amedha.

July 27, 2179.

The USS Sulaco arrives in orbit around LV-426. Gorman orders the DCS ranging and tactical database assimilation by 0830. Bishop, the android assigned to the mission, proceeded to check out the deep-space communication relays to find it intact, excluding the possibility of a mechanical failure as the cause of the breakdown.

Aliens July 27, 2179. 0900.

The marines board one of the two UD-4L “Cheyenne” dropships and depart the Sulaco. Within the hour they do an initial flyover of the colony, discovering it to be abandoned, with power basically intact. The dropship proceeded to land and deploy the party aboard an APC.

A large part of the Marine squad went out to investigate the complex, entering the Operations & Administration wing through the North Lock. Signs of battle were discovered, along with burn marks caused by kiande amedha blood. The colony is declared secure. The rest of the party, including Ripley, Bishop, Burke and Gorman, entered the wing soon after through the South Lock. The possibility of the kiande amedha being involved became a fact when the second party discovered Facehugger specimens contained in stasis tubes inside the medical facilities.

Minutes later, Ripley and the Marines made an astounding discovery: Rebecca 'Newt' Jorden, who had managed to survive the kiande amedha onslaught by hiding in the colony's vent system. Newt was brought to the colony's command central where the squad set up a temporary headquarters.

July 27, 2179. c 1400.

While checking the mainframe, Hudson discovers the colonists PDT’s (Personal Data Transmitters) emanating from Sub-Level 3 of the nearby Atmosphere Processor. 20 minutes later, the marines enter the Atmosphere Processor.

They discovered that the whole structure has been transformed into a kiande amedha Hive, and the colonists all dead. However, Corporal Dietrich finds a live colonist, who is quickly killed when her Chestburster hatches. Almost immediately after, the marines are ambushed by the kiande amedha. Corporal Dietrich, Private Frost, Private Crowe, Private Wierzbowski, Master Sergeant Apone, and Private Drake are all killed or captured during the assualt.

apc Only by Ripley's efforts, who had stayed behind in the APC, a number of Marines managed to escape the Hive.

Ripley, Newt, Lieutenant Gorman, Corporal Hicks, PFC Hudson, and PFC Vasquez elect to take off and nuke the entire colony from orbit. Burke objected on the pretense of damaging Weyland-Yutani property, but his authority was superseded by Hicks, who had stepped up to the position of commander since Apone, had been taken and Gorman had been rendered unconscious during the escape.

The dropship's pilots Corporal Ferro and PFC Spunkmeyer, was ordered to pick up the survivors; however, the plan was foiled when a kiande amedha stowaway killed them, and the dropship crashed into the surface, crippling the APC and leaving the remaining members of the mission stranded in the process.

As a rescue party would not arrive for another 17 days, Hicks ordered a retreat to the command center and set up a perimeter defense with Ripley's assistance, using the sentry guns salvaged from the APC. The sentries had managed to fight off an initial attack when Bishop found out that during the ambush inside the Hive and the ensuing firefight, the cooling systems of the Atmosphere Processor had been critically damaged and the reactor would explode in about 4 hours, taking the entire colony with it. The survivors developed a plan to remote-access the second dropship aboard the Sulaco and pilot it down for evacuation. As all equipment necessary for doing this from the command center had been damaged, Bishop volunteered to go out to the colony's transmitter and use a mobile terminal in order to directly tap into the transmitter and call down the dropship from there. A second onslaught was barely stopped by the sentries, but the survivors knew that the kiande amedha would have no difficulties in entering the headquarters in their next assault.

As the Atmosphere Processor is about to go critical, the survivors on Acheron decide to get Bishop to remote pilot the second drop-ship down to Acheron in order to escape.

While Ripley and Newt were asleep inside the medical facilities, Burke released the Facehuggers in the stasis tubes in order to impregnate Ripley and Newt and smuggle the kiande amedha specimens inside them past ICC quarantine back to Earth and into the possession of Weyland-Yutani.

Meanwhile, investigating the logs, Hicks notes the ships presence, and that the Onager was missing, but is interrupted by the fire alarm in the medlab.

Hicks and the other Marines arrive in time to save Ripley and Newt. As everyone contemplated what to do with Burke, the kiande amedha managed to get inside the command center by using the maintenance space above the room. A desperate escape ensued, during which Burke was knocked unconscious by a kiande amedha and taken to the Hive.

Sensing that he is being carried, Burke dreams about his youth. Coming to, Burke realizes he is being carried by a kiande amedha and manages to control his fear. Desperate, he attempts to reason with the creature, but it simply slams him against the wall to knock him out once more.

Newt leads Ripley, Hicks, Vasquez and Gorman through the colony airducts, after Hudson is lost in the kiande amedha assault. Vasquez and Gorman are killed during the evacuation. Newt got separated and also taken by a kiande amedha.

Hicks is critically wounded, but makes it to the landing field with Ripley’s help.

Burke awakens cocooned inside the Hive within the Atmospheric Processor, surrounded by the corpses of the colonists who served as hosts before him. He sees the Queen laying Ovomorphs in an adjacent chamber, once of which is brought before him. He again tries to bargain with the kiande amedha, pointing out that, as a senior employee of Weyland-Yutani, he can get them anything they may desire. The kiande amedha ignores him, placing the Ovomorph before him. As he awaits the inevitable, Burke realizes that his plan to smuggle a kiande amedha back through ICC quarantine could still succeed — with him carrying the embryo himself. Hoping to have the embryonic kiande amedha surgically removed once he reaches Earth, he allows the Facehugger to subdue him.

The second dropship from the Sulaco touches down. Ripley informs Bishop they aren’t leaving. Ripley, who had developed a maternal affection for Newt, refused to leave without the girl and ordered Bishop to fly the dropship inside the Atmospheric Processor.

Ripley managed to find Newt inside the Hive and was about to leave with her when she was confronted by the Queen. Ripley destroyed the Ovomorphs inside the Queen's chamber and resumed her escape, with the enraged Queen right behind her.

Burke awakes and hears evidence of Ripley's raid on the Hive. He manages to break out of his cocoon, desperate to reach a ship before the Atmospheric Processor melts down and before the Chestburster inside him can emerge. Making his way through the disintegrating station, Burke finally reaches the landing pad, only to discover Ripley and the others have already left aboard the backup Cheyenne dropship. Defeated, he falls to his knees and dies as the Chestburster tears its way out of his chest.

Just as the Atmospheric Processor was about to explode, Ripley and Newt escaped to minimum safety distance aboard the dropship.

powerloader Back at the Sulaco, Hicks was put into medical care. However, the Queen (along with an Ovomorph) had been able to enter the Sulaco as a stowaway inside the landing strut space of the dropship and was unleashed in the docking bay, ripping Bishop in half. Ripley entered a Powerloader to fight the creature and subsequently managed to flush it out of one of the Sulaco's airlocks.

With the crisis finally over, the Sulaco set course back to Earth, and Ripley, Hicks and Newt entered hypersleep – unaware that Ovomorphs were aboard the ship.

The explosion of the Atmospheric Processor is believed to have rendered the Derelict spacecraft on LV-426 not viable for collection of kiande amedha specimens.
